Currently using a GeForce 7950 and I'm hoping I wouldn't have to upgrade my motherboard or anything yet. So obviously looking for something that would fit. When I get home later tonight I can post what motherboard I'm currently using as well if that is crucial.
What is your CPU/motherboard/RAM? Know this would be pretty important because you don't really want to create a bottleneck. Also, what are you intending to do with the system? I am guessing play FFXIV? If so, what are your hopes for performance and what is your price range? Need more framework to help make honest suggestions.

Also, for anyone in the market for a good deal on a new graphics card, this is generally where I recommend people to go when they want to buy something that still has a warranty (in most cases) from a reputable company. At the time of posting this there are 2 5870s, a 5830, and a steal of a 5770 ($114), their stock changes frequently and the high end cards (5970, 480, and 470) tend to move very fast. 2 days ago they had an ATI 5970 up for $450 (before tax/shipping) that was up for less than 10 minutes, so you have to move quick on these things sometimes. Fortunately, they add a lot of new cards every day/week.

Thanks for the advice on zotac btw, bought it few days ago and it was awesome, runs cool for a factory OC'd 480

Yeah, those Zotac cooers for the 480 are hard to beat for stock at the moment. I'm guessing some aftermarkets will start coming out that will perform near that level for a decent price, but all in all hard to beat that if you plan on staying with stock.

Don't want to make a new thread for a FFXIV card, so I'll ask here: Can someone please offer some insight on a MSI GTX 460 Cyclone 1gb. From my limited research, it seems like its amazing; runs cooler than other 460s, comes with a mild overclock, and I could try and OC further with Afterburner.

If I'm wrong and this card is garbage, please advise on another card better suited for my needs (mainly FFXIV) at a comparable price.

They are great cards. I've actually been really inclined lately to buy one of the right MSI GTX 465s (which are actually a 470 locked down) and flashing them back up to a 470 and saving decent money. But, in all honesty you couldn't go wrong with a 460 either. They scale incredibly well on SLI, overclock well, and are overall just a solid card. They have been having some heat issues in FFXIV beta, but hopefully they will work that problem out.

The galaxy OC 460 has the best factory OC I do believe.
    MSI 460
    Galaxy 460
Tigerdirect acutally has them in stock and cheaper. The MSI will run cooler though.

Tyvm for the replies. I do prefer a cooler running card, so I think I'll be going with MSI. I was just curios about it because every time theres talk of GTX 460s in the FFXIV forums, no one mentions the MSI Cyclone, but "EVGA" gets thrown around a lot.
