Kuro, make a LS when you get in tonight, I call dibs on being a sack.![]()
nevermind
lol yea, took me forever to find a decent scene, and even this one wasn't very good. Even though he slows down he still pulls it out and in the same motion attacks. Right now we come to a dead stop, pull out our weapon, then you can input an attack. Not to mention, he's the only one that waits to pull out his weapon and he wtfpwnd everyone else that drew their weapon first. Just sayin.
Anyway, it's not really that big of deal I guess. So long as you can stay in active mode it'll be tons better than ffxi in regards to tp burning stuff and if you put your weapon away you get the "you must wait longer to perform that action" message if you try to engage right after killing something. However, I read that one note that said something along the lines of active/passive mode will now be toggled upon locking onto a target... I hope they keep it the way it was in phase 2.
Setting up my gamepad and keeping the controller the same as previous, it looks like opening the macro tabs will be L2(previously open chat, no longer in config) and R2(previously emote list, now merged with stack commands)?
Well this is certainly something I did not expect... You can apparently pay XIV's sub fees using pre-paid cards.

I thought that was said sometime earlier? Its a modern feature, so I'm not surprised they offer it.
...or should I be, simply because it -is- a modern feature?
Someone made a good point though. How will they make them work if our fee is variable thanks to extra payment for additional characters/retainers?
I thought that's how a lot of games functioned in JP land? Maybe that was something else.
Perhaps let you set the amount to pay on the cards, instead of just having them set in 1-3-6 month increments?
Yeah I think they have something figured out for that issue. Sorry if it was posted already.
It's up to the Edios side really.
Seems like ffxivconfig.exe has been updated.
There's a few more things added.
Multisampling: You can choose CSAA (nVidia onry?) or MSAA, QCSAA etc.
Buffer size: Can be half, quarter etc.
There's also an option "Disable cutscene effects".
Texture quality/filtering can be set.
etc...
And the gamepad menu seems to have no presets anymore so you'll have to set everything yourself, however they do let you assign 2 buttons for both macro menus.
Alt+Tab in fullscreen still b0rked though.
How do you torrent the version updates? The FFXIV downloader is so slow(It's taken 2 days to get to 96%)
I'm downloading at about 0kb/s right now. The max I've seen is 4kb/s.
I remember having to torrent the entire game when I got into beta, but I forget where I have to save the downloaded file too. =/ Is it the same with a version update?
I can't say because I downloaded through the client perfectly fine (speeds were only 250-400kb/s though.) I had worse luck with Utorrent at times than the official one. I think most people likely have it downloaded or you need to reboot your PC which I heard fixes it being stuck.
Am I the only one not having trouble at all? I just got all the updates in like 10 minutes.
The client works fine for me also, I tried U-Torrent once just to see if I could get 1.5mb/s or something, but it was just going slower than the client.
