Except XI, which is the predecessor to XIV, which used the numpad, which I preferred to WASD for MMOs, which is kind of my entire point.
It was my understanding that XIV could use the numpad configuration like in XI, which would render WASD as movement keys unnecessary.
Again, I don't need that configuration, I would just prefer it, so I'm not sure why you're being such a spectacular douche about it.
Anyway, when are those fansite invites being passed out? Midnightish, or are we gonna have to wait a few days?
Maybe mages got OOC MP regen now? WTB patch notes.
Numpad move does work, just the two-hand setup isn't the same as it was in XI.
I spent most of beta using numpad to move.
EDIT: Outsponded.
Name one on the PC that isn't FFXI.
This is pretty hilarious though, for the better part of a year these threads have been nothing but peoples hopes and dreams... and that SE 'learned something from FFXI' and made an actual PC game. Now all of a sudden we have an influx of people wanting to ignore the mouse and play a Ps2 port.
Celeras, how come OCCT is the only thing that shows artifacts on my new 460?(evga one came in today)
I'll PM you, dont wanna derail
Maybe because there are alot of people that liked the aspect that FFXI had gamepad support where few if any other MMORPGs even gave it as an option. If anything FFXIV (if they get mouse support down better and bring in customized key bindings) will become even more a real PC game then any of the other MMOs out there period. What happened to the days when PC gamers went and bought peripherials for a single game (Joystick, gamepad whatever else) because it made a game more immersive? What happened to developers just allowing people to pick whatever style of control they want? I hate WASD movement but I "put up with it" because no other PC developer these days can seem to think out of that box anymore. There are much, much bigger problems with FFXI in the PC community, but gamepad support being standard was not one of them.
