FFXIV Random Speculation/Question thread V: No one told me beta would have problems in it

The KO penalty has been decreased from 5 minutes to 3 minutes.

* Players will now obtain “guild marks” upon a successful completion of a levequest.
Each class will receive guild marks corresponding to their class. This currency can then be traded to a specific NPCs for various types of rewards.
The amount of guild marks players currently possess can be verified via the "Currency" option located within the Inventory menu.

Also semi-related: to anyone wanting to know the actual origin of the term toon:

It started in one of the original MMOs with a graphic interface, Sierra's The Realm.

The term 'toon' was used because your character was literally just that: a 2D, cartoony representation of your character.
People who played the Realm graduated to UO and Everquest, where the term continued to be used.

It is now considered an outdated and archaic term by most, and personally makes me cringe.

Part of the new character creation updates is being able to pick the colour of a characteristic (such as the tats etc)

apparently he was harrased by gamers till he conceded that video games can be art, then snidely added but not for him.(mainly because he said he hasnt and will never play them) making his opinion on video games useless in the first place.

I was a fool for mentioning video games in the first place. I would never express an opinion on a movie I hadn't seen. Yet I declared as an axiom that video games can never be Art. I still believe this, but I should never have said so. Some opinions are best kept to yourself.

Some changes to the creator are weird. Seekers of the Sun can change color of the 5th characteristic, while Keepers of the Moon can change color of their tails tip lol. Both can change thickness of tail though.
