FFXIV Random Speculation/Question thread V: No one told me beta would have problems in it

Well, I can't equip any actions and I seem to randomly be unable to perform any attacks.

Getting a lot of "That action cannot be performed." for seemingly no reason while in battle. I can't do Light Swing for nearly 30 full seconds with full stamina against a mob that I'm facing that's right in front of me? Why not, videogame?

Doesn't display leve targets properly on minimap for me, also no orange circle on main map.

When you choose teleport you can choose regions now.

Square Enix has decided to extend the giveaway's time frame by a bit so we're giving members until August 16th 12:00 AM PDT to get in their last minute submissions for our beta key giveaway.

To those of you that are disappointed about the keys not being available for the start of Phase 3 please realize that this is something out of our control and something that is affecting all sites handling keys, not just our own.

Just crashed, screen went black after things were fading in and out for a bit and so I forcefully quit but now I get a 3102 error code when attempting to login. Anyway, I'm leveling way faster now and I don't feel like I'm leveling slow as a mage anymore. Really feels good. Already 10/6 conjurer.

Few things I noticed:

Unable to choose 'single target', spells are always AoE
Sometimes I'll get 'The action cannot be performed' on anything I do and I will die to mobs unable to do anything (can't act whatsoever)
Leves are completed if someone else intiates them in your group (you both get completion credit and the rewards)
Spells are much stronger
Auto attack is much stronger (conjurer)

Whats with the linkpearl icon next to the clock? I dont see any command dealing with it.

I don't know if this is random/placebo, but the way I fixed it was disengage, drop lock go into active mode and select the mob then attack and it seemed to have fixed it a few times.

Seems its the auto active mode etc not kicking in correctly or bugging out.

I've been waiting all weekend for this day to come and the codes to be handed out.. now they add another 6 days?

I hope it's because not enough people signed up. If you believe those German sites they say they got 5000 keys to give away. If sites like FFXIV Core got the same amount they haven't even had 5000 people sign up yet so maybe SE wants more time.

But that's just me wishful thinking cause that means chances of getting a key are pretty damn high. :D

I'd guess that's exactly what that is, seeing as how the same message comes up if you try to attack something while in passive mode.

NPC linkshells in the menu. Shows you have adventurers guild LS. Will see more useability for it in the future I guess.

Yep this is how I eventually figured out how to solve it also. I was dieing to wingrats on legion difficulty because I couldn't cast. They hit for like 100+ damage.

Can no longer cheat and heal at a crystal while you have a leve active.
