FFXIV Random Speculation/Question thread V: No one told me beta would have problems in it

Now I did something and my FPS is <30 in town no matter what I do. 1280x1024 resolution with everything turned off or in minimum lol.

It was fine before, but the drowning wench cs somehow messed it up I think.

Or wait, somebody was saying after a while their cpu & gpu usage went from 99% to 50%? Maybe thats the cause of it, Idk..

The more I play this... the more problems I see. As SB said:

"1 step forward, two steps back."

They should get the major fixes and features out of the way so they can start polishing the end product. Lot of stuff was changed and fixed but obviously lot of stuff broke at the same time.

I'm glad the UI now resizes if you change your resolution.

Fire Fire-ga could work or they could make it more intuitive instead of needing to have 2 macros for every spell.

Speaking of macros anyone check if there was a macro limit or a line limit?

If there is a macro line limit I couldn't find it.

Can swap in a weapon, all your gear, plus all your abilities in a single macro. (Admittedly I don't have gear in every slot and can't equip 30 skills yet)

I didn't try them out, but by looking at the menu it reminded me of windower's scripts. Just a blank canvas you can write as much shit onto.

Kinda unrelated but I hope retail they add little range of effect circles and cones for spells. Even something as simple as FFTA squares would be nice.

You learn things naturally and can buy Traits (Passive Abilities from XI basically) at certain NPCs with guild points you get from certain leves.

one pug one said an attack that increases tp and another said can do a 3 fold attack after doing heavy strike or "flurry" whatever flurry is

How do you get guild marks? Noticed the have Multi Shot there even though I can read the ability/trait names. Names show up as fucked up code. lol

Some guild leves give them. One showed up for me in Bloodshore.

guild marks appear to be like rolling gear in a leve, so i dunno if its random, when you talk to teh leve guy, or you ll always get one option, the first time i saw a leve with guild marks as the reward was abloodshore leve though, and i think someone else mentioned it, but they couldnt do it cause they had already done 8 leves,

the one i saw awarded 140 pug points, i also wonder if its going to be whatever job you are when you accept it, or it picks randomly

You get bloodshore at Lv10 (you gain access to leves 10 levels before their req).

And currently you get Lv10 after 4~ leves

You could pick up Bloodshore leves at 10 alread in p2 as well, Kuro.

Pharosfly repop is borked yo. Shit takes forever. Used to be ok with 2 people per cave, not anymore.

We should try to get to lvl 20 rank before CD so we can do 30s. Idk how far you are now, you should be ahead of me by time I get home from work. Logged at 16.5 .
