having a more strong but slower attack and the opposite was kinda cool i think.
it seem the animation are in fast-foward mode too.

i felt that the whole system got optimised but then i noticed name of players not on my screen (its should be an option and i know it come with targeting mode) if its not the players >< , the target range not modified and i just crashed wanting to equip my first skill. should i use command to do so? what a progress!

could you tell me what you actualy did to make the game engine better ? and i really mean 'make the engine better', not making it looking better. ><

i need to test more but my first impressions are : pretty disapointed.

    Or they want us to

    do

uhhh not exactly sure, but if your talking about the old secondary skills, you know you get it from talking to baderon right? far as making it look better, i think that its worthwhile to make it look more exciting, but yeah they got new crash problems goin on in this build. and skills equip wayyy slower for some reason i honestly like the addition of guild marks, and skills, and the directions it may take, i get the feeling they inverted the attribute swap ones... and yeah even though im really only doing 2 hits, its more fun to see 4 hits, feels like my stamina regen is slightly faster as well,

but i will say the fact they keep having new crash issues, and missing texts and whatnot, doesnt seem like they are really fixing each build more like moving to different builds than solving the old ones probs, i hope they actually fix this build while its going instead of waiting for a new big totally different build with all new problems

FUnny thing is, Leves were designed for people who supposedly can barely play an hour a day, e.g casual gamers, so in reality they'll never run out of leves if they play for so little a day (and casual gamers who have time to do 8 local and regional leves has time to grind and do other things too)

It wasn't designed for the people who can play unlimited hours, they said leves designed with those people in mind will be available but it's not yet.

uhhh like hyan said, if you group with other leve doers, you can basically get hax exp a lot, until your goddes favor runs out, and even then its still pretty good base exp.

Group with people with different leves, yall got 5 people you can do 5x8 leves in 2 days. problem is it seems leves are on a specific time recharge so everyone gonna go buckwild 1st day its up, then gonna sit around for 2 days, missing leves even more. it should at the very least be 2 days from the times you pick them, or complete them or something, that way dif people would have dif leves up througout.

Yeah, or just make the bearded rock leves have a 2hr cooldown. skull valley leves 4h cooldown. bloodshore (thats 20?) leves 2 day cooldown.

I think that wouldn't be so game- or economybreaking (if that's the reason for limiting us).

I think it was clearly designed for everyone, not just casuals. Longer leves will obviously be even better but I think it would work just fine for any leve with few changes.

One would think that's enough of an incentive to get people to group, but I guess not.

Although they should still make the cooldown scale imo, which is probably the problem here. Or not providing the leader enough incentive to make a party (or people dont just get it yet, Idk).
See, that's just shit to me.

If it's really supposed to be the main form of leveling then just put them back on a 2 hour cooldown so me and my party can just keep playing away instead of trying to find a new random person every hour who has his leve cooldowns available so we can game the system.

If it's not supposed to be the main form of leveling, and it is indeed a tool for casual players, then we're back to grinding, and mages could use some MP regen.

Or make the leves longer to do. 5 minute leves at rank 1 don't really justify the 2 day cooldown but when leves start taking more and more time to clear 2 days is just fine.

you all realize leve's really arent on a 48hr CD, right? They reset every 48hrs JP midnight (aka - in XI terms - imagine 48hr conquest tallies). So you could essentially do all 8 leve's and have them reset < 1 minute later

I don't understand why there is a 48 hour cool down? What purpose does that serve? Is the idea to force grouping or grinding?

It's to prevent people from amassing gil and gear very easily. Now in phase 3 it is to make people level on things beside guildeves. They don't want you getting everything quickly and then quit. It makes you play the game longer so you spend more money on the service in retail.

My theory on cooldowns is that they are always related to making you play over a longer period of time. Every day you play on a monthly fee based system is more money in the bank for the game developers.

I'm going to guess that it's a measure to prevent 18-hour-a-day players from rampantly outpacing 4-hour-a-day players.

The game seems to be designed to give diminishing returns on furious grinding.

Doesn't change anything. You still can only do X amount in a 48 hour time frame. In FFXI i can accept a FOV at 23:59 and do 2 FoV's back to back but I'm still only really doing 1 per hour.

What bugs me most is SE's response is "join other players and help them with their leves so you can do more!". And now they have made leves the top source of exp/leveling.

The problem is this. If I use up all my level cooldowns why would a party invite me to their group to share theirs when I have none to offer them? It would be better for them to fill the spot with someone who has their cooldowns available so the party as a whole has more content to do.

It's almost exactly like the WoW holiday quests. Once a day you can do a repeatable quest to spawn a holiday monster and kill it for neeto loot. When groups form, they invite 6 people who have their cooldown available so the party can kill the boss 6 times for the max amount of chances. No one ever invites people who have already done their cooldown for the day. Why would you?

I see the same thing happening here.

I understand the "reason" behind it but it doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't appeal to the casual player at all when you are limited by the game and not your own lifestyle. A casual player isn't somebody who plays once or twice a week, imo. I think of a casual player as somebody who doesn't play every night and one that doesn't play more than 15ish hours a week but a player that likes to login 3-4 days week and spend a couple hours a night gaming. The idea of limiting the game based on the idea of the carrot on a stick is terrible imo.

The thing is you are able to do more then you 8 by playing with others. So your casual gamer can still enjoy the experience, but you need to play with others... This is an MMO after all.

Get a decent guild? Stuff like that was always 110% more fun done in a group of friends, and I can see leves being the same.

With guildies it never matters who has what available on CD.

It's obviously broken atm. They are meant to be better then grinding, but not this good. And the reason to join other players is because they get better gil by doing harder difficulties & mobs take longer to die so you get better skillups.. so they really lose nothing by inviting you.

If leve's weren't on a 48hr reset then money would have less value then even WoW and prices would be so retarded. Economy prices will already be retarded w/ how easy it is to make money, now just imagine being able to spam that. Noobie leve's aren't a good way to judge gil rewards, but as you get to the bloodshore+ leve's you will be getting 50k+ per round easily (and thats just lv 20ish leve's).

Problem w/leves is its making ppl forget about other ways to lv... such as grinding solo or making a grp and killing stuff..

    Anyone find Shields?

Also, you get your 2nd attack from doing a little bit of Treasures of the Main. At least I did on GLD
