FFXIV Random Speculation/Question thread V: No one told me beta would have problems in it

Well, I hadn't gottten Surplus skill all night until my weapon broke. Now, even changing to a repaired weapon I'm still getting it.. Definitely seem to be related to durability but doesn't seem to work as it's supposed to.

Had a chance to get a new item from Skull Valley leve, but in the middle it bugged out and my leve mobs disappeared :< And relogging made me fail the leve /cryyy

on the last beta i got a body part which gave me 'control +10' anyone knows wtf that is?
also: what lvl is feint?

After you repair your weapon, log off then on, and that should make your weapon durability update properly.

I meant the surplus skill. If it's related to a broken weapon it shouldn't carry over to my repaired weapons.

Repairing your weapon doesn't update its durability properly though according to SE until you relog.

If they're fully repaired to begin with I don't see what that has anything to do with it. I started today with a 100% weapon, it broke because I wasn't paying enough attention and I started getting surplus skill. I then switched to another 100% weapon but I'm still getting surplus skill, even after relogging.

edit: My point to begin with was that it definitely has something to do with a broken weapon, surplus skill that is, but it doesn't seem to be working as intended.

speaking of repairing.. what npc does that? The mats required to repair my stuff is nonexistant, need a np ;/

The NPC that does the emergency repairs is in East Hawker's Alley (might be West, I forget which one is further away from the pub). He's an elvaan npc between two booths.

I think someone posted directions a couple of pages ago, or the last topic... It's an Elezen in one of the Hawkers Alleys if I remember correctly.

Where do you get crystals? Please tell me I don't need to collect 1000 shards

Did leves come back between last beta test? I don't want to waste anima to go to Limsa to check >_>

SE needs to implement something in the UI telling that the character's weapon is broken (or severely damaged)... I just noticed now why my glad was hitting monsters for only ~30 dmg.. My dagger was 0/97600!

Don't remember the name sorry and the item was Leather paddings or something like that maybe? I know I had to kill chiglets, wingbats and some third mob but before I got to it the bug happened.

Fuck, and now I have the exp bug.. Three hours of constant grinding without it and now I'm probably broken until next maintenance. So much for getting 30 soonish.

Any one how to use battle regime yet?

I've been tinkering with it with skewer and red lotus and we don't know how to get it to work exactly. Sometimes it'll go off and we'll do both weapon skills in succession, and other times we get an error and we can't figure out why...
