Crystals should probably be worth around 100-500 right now. Shards I can't see going for more than 10-50.

I'm still pissed. It sucks but it happens, think it happen sin an area flooded with people accessing the aetheryte.

Find a monster that aggros and let it kill you. The leve mobs work well for this. When you HP it will be fixed and you'll be able to complete it.

Wth.. I ported to Bloodshore started running to CH then all of a sudden I zoned (there shouldn't be one). Now I'm stuck on a loading screen. lol

The EXACT same thing happened to me, word for word. I tried logging on two more times and it didn't work. The third time I logged in and went downstairs for 5 mins to get something to eat, and when I came back I was on. So just keep trying.

The weird thing is, I could talk and hear everything, but the screen was still black with loading. I couldn't move, though.

There's still zones. You just don't see them like you did in XI for example and if you get stuck loading you'll actually hit a loading screen, in a seamless world if a 'zone' crashes you normally hit an invisible barrier but it seems the failsafe for XIV is actual zoning...that apparently isn't fully failsafe yet loll.

There are zones in the game, just not the typical sense. They are there for all the areas. The windy path between the Bearded rock and Skull valley point. The windy closed path separating CedarWood spot to the BloodShore, ect..

Just have a friend be like 10 feet in front of you and when they cross, you wont see them until u cross the zone line also. Funky way to do it

That happened to my group. We ran from them and let them regen to full. When we engaged again the quest NM spawned and we continued like normal.

presuming most people that get surplus are people lvling mainly 1 job and not multiple?

I've yet to get surplus skill on one of my characters..she is spread out pretty well too (Pugilist, Gladiator, Conjurer, Botanist, Blacksmith and Leatherworker.)

Something to look into but..might be other factors too.

didnt really happen to me till around 20, see if it stays the same for you later

the surplus doesnt bother me as much as the diminishing exp returns, like you start getting lower and lower till you get 0 then you have to re log and start it all over again.

I know it's probably noobish to ask this now.. but how did people manage to gather a good amount of Gil to do various crafting? I only really played for 2 weeks and just not even 10 hours ... I'm really interested in the crafting aspect but having 1300G from selling crap isn't much.

Leveling up and doing higher level leves. I'm pushing 200k almost.
