Pretty much, from a distance it does Doom spike.

also some people don't seem to know but...!
Alot the abilities mobs do, if you run to its side/back it will miss (unless its an actual aoe, then running away it will miss)

also "heavy" attacks have a 50% chance to cause their ability to "fail" if you just feel like not moving.

Not 100% sure but the debuff icon looks like an x'd out Invigorate. Might be a constraint on TP regen on the mob?

Anyone having any luck with skill ups 24+ anymore? Seems like I hit a brick wall... Every other mob I'm getting the exp glitch now :/ Was fighting fly swarms in the C. hallow.

I switched to my LNC9 and exped on pyro flies in blood shore getting 600-800 a kill really fast. Got 9-15 in an hour, so I'm wondering if there is something I'm doing wrong on my Maurderer 24.. Physical Lvl is 28 btw.

Also I have not logged off when I leveled LNC to reset the bug from when I was exping @24

Fucking bandit leve at bloodshore is insaneeee. Did with same group I mentioned before, 5 stars o'course. Seemed ok until a rebel did circle slash and one shot everybody lol. Got past that eventually and nearly failed on the archers, due to the act it just ran around endlessly only turning around to one shot people.

Have yet to see a happy medium in difficulty, its either a Cakewalk or a batshit insane one shot fest.

I hate that archer too, even though I just did it solo it was annoying. Here I was thinking "lets kill the archer first so he doesn't wear me down while fighting the lancer!" Well, I changed my mind fast when I saw how he's kiting me like a baby D:

you can just wait a bit and go back and kill a respawn of 2 bandits, completely skipping the archers i do it every time!

also I'm Lv 21 pug, 28 physical fighting skeletons/some bats with them.They got less hp then sea puks, but have a little bit more armor, but they drop ice crystals which I might as well farm for LW.

You haven't? My conjurer loves the medium balance. Having party members get hit for 100 is delicious. At 20, Billy's provide that balance (with a healer).
Probably need something lower without it.

Honestly? A lot of the mobs, I found, are balanced towards having someone healing. Qiqirn are tough right? Bring a Thaum. Not really anymore. Billys? Bring a Conj. So if you have no real way of getting hp back, the balance might seem skewed.

Up to Bloodshore seems like the intro leve's. Cassiopa hallow and cedarwood are much more difficult

Also, would like to state that I just picked up the burn/rasp line.

At first glance they suck. 16 mp, last 30 seconds.

But, honestly? The more I use it the more I love it.

It never resists. Ever. Its auto-stick auto-dot. The DoT is never reduced. I was doing a bunch of damage on Fallen Wizards with it when I had a 13 man party zerg them. Gives a decent amount of xp when casting too.

I'd say it does 50-100 damage overall.

I wouldn't say they are much more difficult just because you can pull any of the mobs you need to kill back to the Athyretes(sp) and heal yourself. @22MAR I did this to solo lvl 30 leve's. I'm now @24MAR/28PHYS able to pretty much solo them w/o doing the Athyrete trick. The only ones giving me issues at this point are ones with crabs or elementals because of the time it takes to kill them.

The elemental ones are kinda crazy... if it wasn't for their overpowered ranged attacks would be pretty easy to solo all the lv 30 guildleve's

Just went on my SE members account page, and there is now an "add service option" for the ffxiv beta, and it requires a 20 digit code. Has that been there? I check the site often for any news of an invite and this is new to me. I entered the 20 digit code I got from registering FFXIII, but it said it was invalid.

Interesting. I think it might be related to those few German sites giving away access to the beta. They'll probably give you a key if you win which you can use on the member's site?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but that's a pretty big implementation for just a few contests. Maybe joining the beta will be a new process now?

Well it's not really a small number though. If no site canceled the contest then it's a lot of new accounts... I saw at least 3 sites that had like 6k, 5k, 4,5k keys.
