Late but you can see party member levels in the party menu.

In Alpha and the first few days of Beta you could "check" another person by targeting them and seeing what color they were.

Anyone know what the deal is with Elemental Resistances in the attribute menu being extremely wrong? Currently says I have 182 resistance in each element. It's correct where it says it under the gloves, but geez, why is it so fucked up inthe stat menu?

The correct amount for me is 102 Lightning, 15 on the rest.

Well it's not really a small number though. If no site canceled the contest then it's a lot of new accounts... I saw at least 3 sites that had like 6k, 5k, 4,5k keys.

I couldn't sign up to some of the sites because they took the applications down and put up a message about something being wrong with the e-mails or something. I'd expect delays with this one even if you did sign up before the sites took down the applications. Even as far back as the 29th I could only sign up for entry on a few of the sites.

Those of you that are having issues with the class exp bug I'm curious what class level you are and what your class weapon rank is.

Soap posted he was 25 or 26 glad? Which was when the surplus when to the same amount as he was gaining if I'm not mistaken. The highest buy able glad weapon from an NPC is a rank 18 weapon.

For me on Mardurer the highest from an NPC is 16, the bug got it's worse at 24 for me. Which sounds like it was earlier then Soap's and might explain what the issue might be considering the weapons difference from the players rank.

I could be completely wrong on this but it's something to think about. Been trying to get to a higher level of black smithing to make a higher level weapon.

Also is there any PUG with the rank 24 or 26 weapons(I can't remember what rank they are) that are 24+?

I have the Rank 23 PUG weapon, and I'm Rank 23. Still getting Surplus shit. It comes and goes, went from 20-22 without any.

I'm lv28 PUG and I've been having worse and worse surplus rather than seeing any improvements. It's a good thought but definitely not it unless something's crazy broken.

Well it defiantly seems as though once you gain enough surplus you have to log. Gaining about 100-300 surplus a fight right now. Say after 500 surplus you have to log to reset. Before when I was only getting surplus 10-50 I would only need to log every 10-20 fights. Now it's every 2-5.

The rank might have to do with the amount it takes to reach the cap before you require a log to be able to gain again.

They might have put it in to get people to not just grind all day 1 class, and right now it's bugged where you can reset it by logging. Only part of it that doesn't make any sense is why they would make you make it to 2-5 fights to hit the cap of surplus is that's it either.

I have not experienced it myself other then mardurer yet but the next class that I start making surplus on I'm going to keep track of how much I get every fight to see if I hit a cap every time and require the log out.

Most theories I've seen about surplus doesn't take into consideration that you actually level it up along your normal skill level. This one's no exception.

I'm not sure if you've seen it but there is sometimes a rank that appears with surplus that will rise. Only reason I bring it up.

Yeah.. the surplus didn't really hit me too bad until I hit 24. At 25 it just went to total shit... I'm now getting surplus as high as my skill gains (which aren't high to begin with unless I relog).

I'm 14 BS now if you want me to try and repair your weapon.

21 Marauder here and the surplus thing is hitting me hard. I'm getting the same amount of surplus points for the first time. Also, my experience points per kill has dropped to 300, not sure if this is the norm though. Pretty much not going to be exping anymore until next phase.

So, Ive been reading alot of the posts in these threads, and I was wondering...is the surplus a bug or a feature thats been implemented by SE?

If its a feature of the game it seems kinda pointless.

And if its a bug why hasn't it been fixed yet?

I hit 20 on Pugilist and tried out a Cedarwood leve for some new pants and just got rocked. I got that stupid glitch where you can't attack, but the damage I was taking was enormous. The level 20 leves were pretty easy at 10.

I'll try again when I get home. If anyone would be up for helping me knock out a few later on the Gabranth world, that'd be great. :D
