I think the difference was that(from what I'm reading) the fight scenes in 300 were pure bad-assery, while these were poorly choreographed.

@ksandra No, apparently some large percentage of people somehow expected it to be a poignant take on female empowerment.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

then complain about it being poorly choreographed, not about him using something he's well known for.

I left because I was bored and I had other things to do that day. I thought I might as well get started on them.

300 didn't slow down every single action scene and it did not replay the exact same moves slowed down over and over. He slowed down Babydoll doing that sideways spinning jump thing four times in three different sequences. Once was enough. The other times she did it could have been at full speed. Or she could have done something different because watching the same thing over and over is dull.

wat? you must not have watched the same 300 as me.

and again if you want to blame about bad choreography that's one thing, complaining about the slow-motion shots when he's notorious for it is rather silly.

There's a difference between something being done well and not.

Sucker punch had one good fight scene imo, the samurai robots. That was pretty stellar. The rest of the action was pretty weak I thought.

I agree, the Samurai scene was nicely done. During that scene my hopes were still high for good action in the rest of the movie. I really didn't like the steam Nazi zombie scene though. The steam spray thing was an obvious ploy to avoid excessive blood letting and keeping the audience rating down. Can't respect a director who is playing that kind of game.

I must have felt that the slowed down action scenes in 300 were really well done to not complain about slowed down action scenes, which generally tend to raise my ire.

I didn't complain about only the slowed down action scenes, I've pointed out many flaws I found in the movie. The slowing down the action scenes was only pointing out that the movie would have been 30 minutes shorter on normal speed, and it wasn't even a main point of any of my posts until recently!

nor did I have any beef with your other complaints, or said that was the only thing you were complaining about...just because you complained about other things doesn't mean I can say that particular complaint is silly.

I'm starting to think this is actually true lol

Also lol@ 300 having less slowed down scenes, try re-watching it.

I can't believe people went to see this movie. I saw one preview and it looked more dumb than the movie Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell which I think has to be in the running of the dumbest movie ever made next to Garbage pale kids and The Human Centipede.

So I take it you're the reason why Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 beat Sucker Punch for the #1 spot last weekend.
