    About the sister's death:

    Spoiler: show
I thought it was pretty clear that she didn't kill her sister (it was the father), as the sister was already on the floor when she came in the room. Seems pretty obvious due to the father wanting her to be lobotomized asap so she couldn't tell the cops the truth. The father wouldn't have the hide anything if she was the one that actually shot the sister.

Also I'm hoping the extended blu ray version that doesn't cut out half the movie does a better job. I felt the story telling was rather horrible and the action scenes were repetitive. The transition from insane asylum to whore house was ambiguous. The transition from whore house to each action scene was detached. You spent so much time jumping between realities that you didn't care about any of the characters in any given reality, let alone the enemies.

However, when Watchmen came out I found it to be a decent movie, but when the blue ray extended version came out, it became one of my favorite movies (really added a LOT of missing story to the tale). I'm hoping Sucker Punch moves from "holy shit that was awful" to "I can tolerate watching that again" once more scenes are added back in.

Speaking of that, another thing the movie lacked was a satisfying conclusion.

    Spoiler: show
When babydoll distracted the men so that sweat pea could get away, I was expected a last fight... something to end it all and really go out with a bang. It would've done the movie well to see babydoll (or wahtever) be defeated and dragged away, they also could've done the other girls' deaths in that sequence as well, would have been much more poignant. Ahh, the movie of wasted potential? I dunno, but it could've been better.

I agree Elcura. I think a lot of people are upset not just because the movie was bad, but because it COULD have been so amazing.

Warner Home Video has announced DVD {$28.98} and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($35.99) releases of Sucker Punch for June 28th. As far as we know, the only extra material on the DVD release will be an Animated Shorts: Sucker Punch Prequel Stories feature. The Blu-ray/DVD Combo release will include that, plus an extended cut of the film with an additional 18 minutes, a maximum movie mode hosted by director Zack Snyder, and a digital copy of the film.

sad thing is is that this movie was only 18 minutes shy of a R rating.

The only part of the movie I'd want is the cyborg samurai fight scene. Should've made a whole movie around that.

Eeeeeeeeeh it was ok. As everyone said I wanted alot more out of this movie than what it actually was. The story/idea was good but the storytelling was off by a long shot. The few action scenes were pretty cool if you're into computerized out the ass scenes.

Fuck the haters, I just watched this for the first time and near every minute was enjoyable.
There were a few slow spots, but I thought it was far from everyone saying how horrible it was.

Did you watch the R rated directors cut version?

Wondering what happened in the extra 18min to take it up a rating. I assume just language and/or more half naked ladies.

Don't think there were any in the theatrical version.

I thought I'd enjoy this after viewing the trailers. I must say though, this movie offended me not only as a man, but as a human being. Despite the fact that I saw this at no personal cost, I still feel I'm owed some type of compensation. That's how bad it was.

This was the first movie in years that I started watching specifically to watch it (as in not just random flipping on the TV) and I had to turn it off after like 45 minutes. The blonde chick is smoking hot and I would do horrible things to her, but it takes more than that to make me want to watch this horrendous movie. Why the hell did they do this inception level of hallucination within a hallucination? Shit was stupid. I would of preferred it all be real, realism was obviously thrown out the window when they somehow deemed it possible to have hallucinations within a hallucination...if you can even really call them that. I was actually angry I watched any part of this movie. So many terrible things about it, the worst of which was that it was one of the more sexist movies I've ever seen yet it portrayed itself as some feminist/female empowerment flick. riiiight.

Watching Hanna after turning this garbage off was a nice consolation prize though. That was a great movie where a chick kicks some ass.
