WB dropped 5 clips from film today. Spoilering for spoilerphiles.
Spoiler: show
The train scene looks nearly identical to the opening of FFXIII... kinda cool
lol you nasty
Holy crap the bunker scene looks epic
Currently 17% fresh @ Rottentomatoes <_<
nvm apparently theres another movie called Sucker Punch lol
This one is at 26% on there though, not much better. x.x Doesn't have a ton of reviews yet, but still not a great sign.
I'm sure it would still be good for eye candy though and most likely while I'll still see it.
yeah, I'm still seeing it tonight. Just hope I don't regret it lol
honetly I was already expecting a plot that made little sense and sub-par acting.
I've had low expectations for this movie, but I've been waiting to see it. If it were not for classes in the morning, I'd be all over that.
there's a four dollar theater here, and I doubt i'll be like MAN WTF I WANT MY FOUR BUCKS BACK
http://geektyrant.com/news/2011/3/24...8-minutes.htmlSpeaking to Collider, Snyder revealed that he had to submit Sucker Punch to the MPAA seven times before they gave the film its PG-13 rating. As a result, the film has tons of extra footage left over -- 18 minutes to be precise -- and it will all make its way to the director's cut of the film when it hits DVD & Blu-Ray.

Save your money. Just left the theater and it was awful. Visually it was great and it has the best soundtrack ever. Everything else is terrible. The plot is confusing until like twenty minutes in and then it becomes incredibly predictable and slow paced. Top it all off with sub par acting and it just comes off as a 2 hr music video.
Holy shit, you predicted all of the stuff that happened? Who are you, Ms. Cleo?
There were plenty of hints given throughout the movie, but the overall plot was interesting enough to keep my attention. It dragged at parts but the action scenes were intense. Definitely worth seeing in theatres imo.
yeah, I definitely don't regret seeing this. I'll probably even buy it on bluray when it comes out.
obviously the plot wasn't that strong, and the acting wasn't super great either. But even if you got the best actors in the world, it wouldn't have changed much because there wasn't much that needed to be acted for.
Action scenes were all pretty incredible on Imax.
How were you confused by the opening? It was all made perfectly clear what was going on.the plot is confusing until like 20 minutes in
The thing I was confused about was the ending...
Spoiler: show
Rotten Tomatoes is basically dumping a big turd on the movie. One reviewer compared it to The Last Airbender. I hope that's not the case though. But as I said, I thought and I will go into this movie not expecting an amazing plot, script or acting, but still something that I will enjoy in the end.
Dunno, the bunker scene video might keep me away, if that's what the action is like it won't be what I expected it to beWhich makes me sad. Guess I'll wait for it to come out on DVD. And I hate that everything is coming out PG-13 now. Fuck, make some damn R movies so we can see some real fucking action. It's like when they made the first AVP movie PG-13. Retarded.
Why would anyone expect this to do well with critics? None of us here are expecting to find an amazing plot or acting. We're all seeing it for the chicks fighting dragons, samurais, nazis, and what have you. Obviously critics aren't gonna be so hot for it. I plan to see it regardless of what RT says.
For example, a bad review of the movie:
Thats exactly what I expect of it and I have no problem with that :DIf you like scantily clad women kicking booty in slow motion, this is the movie for you. Not much else is going on.
