Being the first thing I saw in action on the SNES when it first came out, the intro to Gradius 3 has always stuck in my mind:

There is nothing more memorable then collecting the Master Sword for the first time... I'll choose SNES version, but any of them really. The Master Sword is a gaming icon.

Like was said earlier, almost any part of DMC3 works. If you want good combo videos, look up any of Kail's on youtube. Probably one of the best DMC3 players.

As much as some people may hate it, the scene where Cloud jumps off of the train at the beginning of FFVII is pretty iconic. Also, Kefka and Sephiroth scenes.

TMNT Turtles in Time. When you fling someone into the screen was always awesome.

MGS1 Sniper Wolf sequence when she shoot's meryl. I guess when Ninja slices Ocelot's arm off too was also cool.

After Burner and Virtual On. Two good arcade games that had lots of action. Not sure in terms of clips you could get but it works.

Other arcade quarter munchers that come to mind are that X-Men 8 player arcade game as well as The Simpsons arcade game. Gauntlet Legends, Daytona USA, Time Crisis 3, Lethal Enforcers, Dan getting killed in Power Stone (Come on, wall of red blocks were hilarious). And for the heck of it, the guy crying in Street Fighter 2 after you destroy his car.

And how could I forget about Aera 51. Game got stupid impossible when it decided to go 2 player mode on your ass.
