Has anyone else seen this shit yet? I'm used to the awesome garbled shit you can't even understand, how could this get past the filter?

Been seeing RMT tells crop back up in the last few weeks or so, probably because they're trying to get rid of their remaining stock before XIV comes out. There has probably been an increase in demand lately as well since Abyssea somewhat revitalized the game.

if SE was smart they would make an invisible filter so it looks like its going through but its not. just auto-filter block certain words like how they fake spell the website.

would take just a few accounts idling in starter cities to figure out each one np

Funny thing is in my GM call I said I had the filter on and everything but the GM still told me to turn on my filter and they would go away. I get dozens of tells every day but it's usually in ridiculous code that's impossible to decipher.

If its anything like where I work... You get too many petitions every day to sit there and customize a response to each and every one. You have to take a hit to perfect customer service to skim the issue, assess what the issue is, send a generated response, and move to the next one.

You can thank this wonderful thing called metrics for this type of workflow.

No matter what SE does, the RMT will always be able to test their messages out by sending the message from one RMT character to another to see if it goes through.

The game needs a much more sophisticated solution that I don't think SE is going to add at this point. They need options to disallow tells from "suspicious" (new, low level, etc) accounts. You would also want the option to override this for a specific whitelist (so you can whitelist your friend's mule) or for anyone that you send a tell to first. And all of this would still be pretty crappy without a highly intuitive interface for managing it. I doubt we'll ever see anything like this in FFXI.

One of the automated messages that I keep getting lately doesnt fit for my name, so it keeps saying 1mil = $2, and it cuts off the second digit. I was half tempted to pick some gil up for 2$ >.> Then my LS mate informed me its actually $29, and i /sadface'd
