Try tinctures. Theyre like faster working edibles, doesn't last as long either so that's a plus depending on what you got going on that day

Basic is the best. I'm not in NJ, but my favorite edibles are barracuda bars. They have 1:1 Dark Chocolate that tastes amazing and most important to me, consistent in its dose. It took me a while to find one that is like this. Yes, these edibles are tested to give you a certain percentage per bar, but the difference in squares can sometimes vary, and when you are a lightweight like me, that can be the difference between a good time and going into a coma.

And the best thing about them here, they are cheap as FUCK. Like 10 bucks a bar. I'm sure it will take a while for NJ to get to that point. I think MI took about 2 years before the prices really started to come down.

Holy shit you don't have much for edibles, and all of them are super expensive right now. It will be a few years before the prices come down to reasonable levels.

I can't comment on any of those, as I've never tried the 4 choices you have.

Idk how other states do it, but Florida is the same. 3 routes of entry, and you have a 35day cap on each. It's no biggy tho, it's hard to reach that cap honestly and a lot of items can be dispensed via more than one of your options. I have some vape oil they dispensed as edible cause it came in a syringe (refill syringe instead of cartridge).

You might get a new customer discount, I'd look into that.

Every single one of those flower buds offered looked like a rip off. Just absolutely ridiculous prices. Almost 100% higher than what I'm seeing in Florida, no exaggeration. I've gotten 3.5g of quality bud for less than $25 before.

The prerolls are a little more reasonable. Those run $7.5-15 here as well, depending on quantity, quality, etc.

The vape carts are all overpriced. .5g for $60+? Ludicrous. $30-$55 here for .5g, and the $55 carts are high quality, adjustable airflow carts; not the cheap trash I'm seeing here. That refill syringe I mentioned earlier? $75 for 1g, and it's only so expensive cause it's the best quality I have in the area; more reasonably priced oil can be gotten for $60ish/G.

As you can imagine...the edibles are overpriced as well. Same dosaging would be $15 here, I'm seeing $25 on the site.

I can't speak to topicals, never used em. The tinctures are reasonably priced tho. I recommend those if you don't want to smoke and aren't sure about edibles. They are as fast acting as inhalation, without the delay of edibles.

If you have your heart set on edibles, those strawberry or watermelon lozenges are fine, but I prefer gummies over hard candy. The store doesn't look very exciting tho tbh, I'd visit a further location if you were ever in that area.
