casca loves to be raped
did he just say... making fuck?
tell me you guys didnt watch this in english. that's like listening to an awesome porno instead of watching it
but those outakes are pretty hilarious lol
seen it both ways, dub was with a bunch of people, and the majority were like "fuck subs im lazy" =/
I watched it both as well, own it in jp and English, prefer the Japanese.
i thought gattsu killed the guy before he was about to rape him. what a twist that was. made me hate that fuckin' guy who fathered him lol
He killed him several days after he was sold.
Gambino is a very ambivalent character.

GRIFIIIIIIIIIITH
Without giving much away, this is basically this is maybe my favorite page in all of comics. At least, when not considering context.

i have to re-read that. but i liked it when him and zodd teamed up to beat up the mini god and had gattsu actually rid on his back. zodd never respects anyone, so for him to see gattsu as his equal and rival (especially after the lols he had with their 1st run in. he was toying with him a little too much in his true form. the progression gattsu made was unreal). but i think my all time fav page is when he finally acquired the berserk armor, what a fucking bad ass
If any of you haven't read it. You got no excuse:

Yes, that is a better starting point than volume 1.
(The quality of these scans suck, but get much better as they continue)
Also the Dark Horse translation is better so I hear, so worth buying.
without spoilers why is that a better starting point, is it just that it's less confusing?
If I start there would it be a good idea to, at some point, go back and read from where it actually starts?
its like a pulp fiction type starting point, except its incredibly confusing and filled with gore and nonsense, being thrown in a clusterfuck of a disaster and chaos. starting at the point BRP pointed out starts off where it should have. its chronological, and it makes sense
Aside from it being out of order, it also reveals things about the plot/setting which makes later parts of the story less exciting(because they are revealed again, with more effort, as if you were supposed to find out about it then). The chronological beginning simply does a better job of introducing the story(you grow up with the main character). It is also after the author has been at it for awhile, so the quality is better. This is especially true with art, there is a huge difference between the first three volumes and later in the story where we get back to that point.
If you happen to miss the the beginning completely, you really don't miss much. However you might want to and it does have 2 or 3 important plot points(something the main character begins to carry and a character he begins to travel with) however the actual events don't play a major role. If you want to put the story back in order, you read it as soon as the story becomes about "The Black Swordsman". The series will jump right into an arc/have a jump in time, it happens between that point.
I remember hearing about Berserk like five hundred years ago is this another one of those dumbass series where they draw that shit out as long as possible and make up the stupidest fucking arcs with no sign of the bullshit ending any time within the next century?
The writer is gonna die long before he could finish what he has planned for it.
