Desktop Startup Issue

Idunno I feel bad for making this thread but whatever I forgot what i did to fix it originally but here goes.

>Black screen still, blue light flashing
>Force shut down

I'm hoping my video card/Mobo didnt fucking die on me, but then again I was about to replace both for XIV

have you shut down the system and the monitor unplugged from power for a few minutes and restarted everything? with most motherboards they should make some type of beep if some hardware is dead. Do you have another monitor you can try? Does the monitor have its orange sleep light on or the normal yellow one? have you tried cleaning out your case and resetting your graphics card?

Yea I shut down my desktop, and unplugged my monitor, my mobo doesnt have the sound thing for the beep which sucks, I have 2 monitors both give the yellow light, Havent tried reseating the video card though

if you disconnect your monitors from the pc and they are turned on do they show a message about no signal? what if you plug in one monitor instead of 2?

No they don't show the "No signal" sign, it's just blank, like it's in sleep mode or something

do they respond to you trying to use the buttons on it to change the display settings?

yea it responds to different shit like changing from Analog then it says no signal then abck to digital it stays black

Was pretty much what I was going to suggest if the card didn't fry itself over the night.

I've honestly been considering building a low-heat/watt consuming PC one day for the sake of media-servin' and bazaaring in MMOs/downloadin overnight. Modern PCs just run way too fucking hot if you don't own an A/C in the same room.

Thanks guys seems it did need re-seating, not sure why the fuck, the goddamn thing doesnt m....now that I think about it my desktop does shake when its on...thanks for the brainstorming

Happened twice to me in the past. Was one of those "this is why I hate troubleshooting electronics" moments.

I guess dust just manages to squeeze itself into those contacts somehow over the period of a year or two.
