Man, some people must really be annoyed by guys french kissing.

Maybe we can reverse Prop 8 if we change it to "freedom kissing"
Tempyst, let's find a church and make out in it.
This guy makes me so happy I could just eat a dick.
WhatThis guy makes me so happy I could just eat a dick.
He meant to say 'eat da poo poo'
but I might make an exception if you're really pretty
Who wouldn't choose me?
Thanks for the video, that really summed up everything about the debate rather nicely. Also, you can add my voice the the fuck you to prop 8 supporters, as even though I've yet to find a boyfriend due to my antisocialness, I want the ability to marry the man I fall in love with for life.
on a semi-related note:
My priest didn't decide it might be good to talk to us before about our thoughts on homosexuality. But he thought it was good to bring it up during our wedding last week...I didn't know what to do lol >,<;
I had the urge to scream "this isn't the time, but we are against prop 8 so please move on"...but I was so nervous and embarrassed -.-;
Since the law was brought up again, here's the process for how the court will decide which test to apply:
Is the right fundamental?
-if yes, apply strict scrutiny
--is it necessary (narrowly tailored) to achieve compelling govt. interest
-if no, apply rational basis
--can you make an argument in favor of the law without a SCOTUS Justice bursting out in laughter.
Based on current case law, gay marriage is not a fundamental right. If Prop 8 is to be overturned the SCOTUS will have to find that it is. Here's that test:
2. Test for rights that are fundamental
a. in text of constitution?
b. original intent?
c. fundamental to ordered liberty?
d. tradition and history?
Considering how they managed to fudge together a right to abortion, it's not unlikely they won't find a way. I would forecast that it will be based on C.
ya, we already are for other reasons, but that kinda sealed the lid. It's awful though because as a catholic you meet with the priest for like 9 months (once a month) before the wedding, and he was always SO nice, I have no idea where the fuck that came from. I definitely wasn't expecting it...I am tempted to write a letter to him to explain that if he is going to bring controversial topics in a wedding he should clear it with the couple first lol. He's been a priest for like 20 years now I'm surprised he'd think that was ok.
You absolutely should do so. I was just in a Catholic wedding a couple weekends ago, just watching my friend the groom have to nod and smile (and lie) as the priest had him verify he'd bring their children up in a Catholic household was painful enough.
I can't imagine if he'd got his bully pulpit on during the ceremony about gay marriage...ugh.
I think there is a problem with marriage in general gay or straight. People don't take it seriously. They jump into marriage before they are ready for it. I know it is different for everyone, but for me marriage should be forever. I understand that things can happen after you get married, but you should at least try to work it out.
