lol, oops. guess I started something

Of course there are some older folks who are fine with it, but a lot of them are told to be ashamed of it and their time of life was more religious. And nothing scares religious families than homosexuals(Because it leads to nazi's riding dinosaurs.)

I'm 21, my parents are 46 and 47. My dad didn't become a christian until he met my mother, he is fine with gay people doing whatever they want. My mother was raised religious her whole life, and when she read about this judge her response was "Oh boy, when are they going to give up."

There are less and less kids being brought up religious, and less of a pressure from society for people to be religious. In fact, most people would say society tells them that to be taken seriously you have to not be religious. Especially in fields like science and politics.

Again, not saying this is a 100% cookie cutter template, but it wouldn't be a stereotype if there wasn't a lot of truth to it at some points.

The overturning of this decision is an assault on the will of the people, and an assault on natural marriage. derp.

I'm going to make a vacation fund wherein I deposit one dollar every time I have to explain to someone why the "will of the people being violated" is a good thing when it comes to the majority voting on the rights of a minority.

    Hawaii, here we coooooooooome :D

Damn, that was almost word for word what a conservative friend (the only one I have lol) of mine posted on Facebook yesterday. It's like they have some kind of tagline driven hive mind or something.

It can be a frustrating thing to have to explain to people the system of government they live in.

I for one am happy, and dont get the outrage of letting people live their lives. Fuck that noise, get married, have semen babies, do whatever.

I work with a fucking ugly fat douche that supports prop 8 based on his expert analysis that "this would give free reign for fags to come and hit on me constantly, so if I kill someone because they cant take no for an answer then its not my fault". Mind you, he's 360+, smells of BO, is 37, a programmer and has been laid once in his life (He brags about it constantly). Now he and I go back and forth because I support gay rights, but he is of the believe that gay men have a lower standard and will lick and suck any penis that is not nailed down. I mean he genuinely believes this, how are such myths perpetuated and so widely accepted? lol

I mean I have gay friends and have never once in my entire life felt threatened of penile rape or have looked at then outside of the context of being a normal person. He tells me im wrong and that I am suppressing gay experiences, as does everyone that supports this life style haha. I know you will find this strange, but he said he was going to church tonight and on Friday to pray for God to over turn the repeal and to "put fags in their proper place". Ill spare the church lecture but how can one say the word "God" and say something completely hateful and still have a conscience?

Yes another issue I have with organized religion, you simply cant just live and let live.

Edit: Posting from my phone so ignore fucked grammar and punctuation. But anyway does anyone have the SS I posted last year about how "gay marriage opens the way to bestiality marriage"? I lost it but it is totally appropriate.

Gays in general are less picky than women. For the same reason straight men are less picky than lesbians.

God isn't mad that gays are getting married, he is just pissed some found a loophole to dealing with a wife.

Nailing down your penis so gays won't get it sounds like something plausible for many straight men.

I'd hit on him just for the hilarity of it. And I'm not even gay.

Nah, the fact that he has to wake up and live his life as Walter is enough of a punishment. I'd think that only the sweet release of death would bring solace to his soul.

Well that and I troll in real life, it would make my day far longer than it has to be.

You should get a bunch of HRC bumper stickers and put one on his car. Every time he removes it, put another.

Despite the fact that the proposition technically did not truly meet the conditions set out in the state's constitution (an initiative that amends or impacts part of the existing state constitution requires a 2/3 majority vote, as opposed to 50% for just adding something that isn't covered already), I personally believe that is going to be a VERY effective path of attack on this ruling. Oh and add in the fact that this ruling came from a federal court, not a state court - that'll fire up the morons who want to repeal the 14th Amendment.

A huge factor in the upcoming argument will be specifically about the word "Marriage".
Like chicken vs egg, those against gay "marriage" will state that the church had defined "marriage" long before any government did, and as such should have domain over it's definition. Also, the fact that California recognizes domestic partnerships between same gender couples, allowing them equal benefits under the law. If however, "Marriage" grants something that domestic partnerships don't, then Walker's ruling should 100% be upheld.
As someone who really is agnostic towards gay marriage/unions/etc, it's a tough argument to follow. Yes, I believe the government does not have a right to say who you can be with, but subverting the voting populace, and democratic process, by legislating from the bench because you don't like what the people think is a rough road to travel.
