I thought about spending sunday looking through other people's gifts and sending to those people, especially hazado's, but i think i'm just going to go to the beach instead. This is too much of a hassle. So i'm just gonna stick with this thread and returning to people who send to me.

The way you say that sounds like you don't agree. If I send someone a ticket for an exchange..yeah I expect one back as well. It's the friendly thing to do. We all want to get into beta and my helping you out shouldn't be met with you going "Pffft you don't deserve the 3 seconds it takes me to send one back!".

It's not really that big of a hassle. I can go away from my computer for a couple hours, come back and return tickets to whomever sent them in about 2-3mins tops. Then make a post in the thread saying i'm still trading and go about my business till I return.

Seriously, I am just dumbfounded at the amount of naysayers thinking their anti-establishment stance on this contest will earn them any more shred of respect they already don't deserve.

If a user doesnt want to be bothered by it, they can simply fuck off of Eorzeapedia and cover their eyes and ears until at least August 11th. I don't know how else to put it.

I only looked on the site for the first 2 days, sending back any tickets I got, but after that I gave up. Sorry, but I'm not gonna by bothered to log there every day, especially that the site is working like shit for me (and not working on Opera at all and I have to use the goddamn IE to even log in there) just to check if I got any new tickets and to see if I didn't send them to that person before. Remind me of the analogy I saw posted on their forums that it looks like the Facebook games - I logged to farmville once to check what the hype was with my friends, and everyone saw it and started sending me gifts, helping on my farm or w/e you do there, and started bothering me with messages and irl to help on their farm and with requests for stuff. Well, I blocked them asap.

are you using firefox? I had the same issue wih firefox and had to register through IE8. Sadly the site appears to work better with IE than anything else. Firefox just auto logs me out at certain things like forum posts and member listings, but work in IE

I didn't see it on the front page of their site, and frankly their forum is garbage and I need to use IE to use it, but anyone know if they said how many invites they have to give away? I'm just curious.

So far 216k tickets been handed out. 50k of those are probably dupes, and if they automatically disqualify those that have tickets but forum profile says they are from UE/UAE/etc, which I doubt they would, but would shrink the total pool some more.

Trying to guage what winning percentages might be, since anybody can see the total mount of tickets passed around.

Ah thanks yea I use chrome. Figured it was something like that, but I'm so far behind now there's no real point.

I wouldn't say that there is no point for you to start this. Obviously you'll need to husle more than someone that had began on say Friday. You'll still end up with tickets, even if you don't hustle and use just the list on BG alone and the BG list shouldn't take long to hitup since all you have to do is open each link in a tab. Instead of having a 800 tickets in a pool of 300k, you might just end up with 40 tickets in the pool.

I been randomly sending tickets throughout the day to people I see in other peoples recieved ticket pools with less than say ~100 tickets, as i feel those are the ones that I will more easily get a ticket back, because they will be more appreciative than someone with 800+ tickets. Even though I wasn't sending messages begging for a return gift, I think I got a significant amount back. Some people with high accumulation of tickets might have said enough is enough and stopped bothering with checking and giving.

Some people are running down the UDB of the forum and hitting up all the newest registered people as they sign up. This option only works for me in IE and frankly I can't stand IE, so I just been randomly going through other peoples gifts/messages during the day. There are plenty of ways to get tickets within the next 24 hours. You just won't be seeing 1k+ gifts like some people have.

I asked a good buddy of mine to sign up for forum just to give me a ticket. Since he's in Beta already, thats all his intention was. I checked his forum ID and he has like 20 tickets from random people with him not even doing a thing. I'm assuming those tickets came from people going randomly down the UDB.

For anyone who wants to know, in Firefox,

1. Go to the Tools menu, select "Options..."
2. Click on the Privacy tab.
3. Click on the blue "remove individual cookies" link.
4. If you want to keep your other cookies, just scroll down to the "eorzeapedia.com" folder, highlight it, and click on the "Remove Cookies" button. Or you can use the "Remove All Cookies" button to chuck all your cookies.

I went through 10 pages of the user database handing out tickets hoping for returned gifts and some I got back right away. You can acomplish a lot in a short period of time, even if you don't think you can.

Best thing I found if you have a lot of tickets and you're not sure who you've sent out before. Just open someone elses giftbox who has has a bunch and go through his list. I can tell who i've sent a ticket to just looking at the hyperlink name and seeing if it's light blue or purple. Busted out a good 400 tickets sent that way in maybe an hour while I listened to music.

this is good, but if you're like me and have link history set a 0 days they will never turn a different shade of color.

Thats what Im counting on. Actually the people with like 3k tickets will certainly get a code. After that it's up in the air.
