I generally go to Kohls because they have stuff that actually fits me (6'5 and I wear 34x36 pants) and the quality for the price is a great value. For cargo pants I go to Ranger Surplus because real BDUs are light years beyond the horrid shit that "designers" make. As far as actual brands:

Arrow for dress shirts because they have a great range of sizes and fits.
Axist for dress pants because they actually make long pants.
    Merrell for shoes.
EMS brand for miscellaneous apparel such as fleeces, shirts, pants, etc...
    Adidas for sports clothing.

Am I the only gay that doesn't like branded clothing?

I hate having to go out of my way to find decent shirts that don't have some retarded logo or whatever on it, and try to find something neutral looking. :/

Don't really notice brands... But store-wise? I like Kohls, Forever 21, modcloth.com, sometimes Urban Outfitters, though rarely... and definitely Good Will! I don't like to buy expensive clothes. :\

I don't have specific brands that I gravitate towards. I prefer various brands and look more at the fit of what I buy as opposed to what brand the collar says. A rule I go by, though, is I like to stay away from clothes that have the brand logo on them. I don't want to be an advertisement for a clothing company.

However, there are brands I avoid like the plague: Hollister, A&F, AE, etc.

Not really big into brands, but if I do buy something branded it's usually Volcom, Vans, or Hurley for tops, Levi's jeans, Vans shoes. I'm pretty casual about my clothing brands.

I've always felt clothing is one of those areas that it pays to spend extra due to the durability of some of the name brands. I'm not saying spending 500 on a shirt is worth it, but the 50-100 dollar shirt almost always seems to end up being the better deal for me in the long run over the 10-15 dollar ones.

    T-shirts and jeans.

I like to get my shirts from Army Navy stores because they are cheap and high quality, and I like Levi's loose fitting jeans because they last for years.

"George" brand t-shirts/undershirts from Walmart (I'm fucking serious). 95% cotton/5% spandex. I rock the shit out of the plain black and plain white ones. Medium fits me like a fucking glove. And they're so cheap, I just buy new ones if I don't feel like doing laundry.

    Target, Kohls for most stuff

REI, Prana, Patagonia, Climbing shit for usefulness/nicer looking/rugged shit.

Express if I want something a lot nicer, like button up shirts or polos.

Sam Vimes Theory of Economic Injustice
    From Discworld & Pratchett Wiki
    Jump to: navigation, search

The Sam Vimes "Boots" Theory of Economic Injustice runs thus:

At the time of Men at Arms, Samuel Vimes earnt thirty-eight dollars a month as a Captain of the Watch, plus allowances. A really good pair of leather boots, the sort that would last years and years, cost fifty dollars. This was beyond his pocket and the most he, Vimes, could hope for was an affordable pair of boots costing ten dollars, which might with luck last a year or so before he, Vimes, would need to resort to makeshift cardboard insoles so as to prolong the moment of shelling out another ten dollars.

Therefore over a period of ten years, he, Vimes, might have paid out a hundred dollars on boots, twice as much as the man who could afford fifty dollars up front ten years before. And he would still have wet feet.
