Its a fucking seven year old child, probably all that was going through her mind was dreaming of buying new barbies, the health inspector was a dick for doing this.

It always amazes me when a topic comes up where good discussion has taken place and the thread has moved past a certain point and then stupid people come in and post one liners without reading the thread first that knock the thread back 5 steps.

This was NOT about the money for the permit, this was NOT about protecting or appeasing the other vendors (it also does NOT matter they were ok with the stand), this was NOT about the health inspectors being dicks to a little girl despite the media spinning it that way.

This was solely about food safety and regulations.

Last thursdays is not a festival in the normal sense, none of the vendors pay anything at all to set up. it is a street art festival that is for the most part is completely unregulated. the last couple years it has started to get super popular and has sparked all kinds of blah blah blah about lets regulate it.
those health inspectors were probly only there to dick around with people and cause trouble, that is most likely why the other vendors were on the side of the girl. not only do lots of food trucks and such show up to it, but ALOT of people sell random foods, border corn, cookies, candies, etc. it's actually pretty awesome, and boo at the man for trying to ruin it.

Supposedly they didn't expect to even make enough money to cover the cost of the one-day permit, so that's why they shut down.
