Well, it may be worth looking at what WSs proc Red !!s first because blue may follow a similar organizational scheme and red is bound to be simpler. Also, because magic WSs are worthless and unlikely to be used otherwise, there should be no ambiguity about it. Reports should be accurate.

Just going by memory from scanning the thread recently:
Dagger - Energy Drain and Cyclone
GKT - Goten, Koki
Katana - Blade: Ei
Sword - Red lotus blade and Seraph blade?
Club - Seraph strike

I can't think of any more, but it is interesting to note that not every magic ws has been reported to proc.

I think you mean Jinpu and Koki?

I'll add some to your list:

GS - Freezebite
Scythe - Shadow of Death
Gun - Hot Shot

So, updated the post. All of these have been reported multiple times, except where noted. I doubt anything but the ones listed will ever trigger Red !!s, which means there are probably only 13 WSs to test for Red !!s. Just scanning the list, I think that NIN and WAR can cover all of them. It would be interesting to do all 13 to a few NMs and see if you can always force a Red !!.

Edit: Also, has anyone gotten a Red !! off a resisted magic WS?
On that note, has anyone gotten a Grellow !! off a resisted nuke?

Had spinning slash proc blue !! on Yaanei and Carboose, so I am sure it part of the list also. I've started taking screenshots of the ones that are definite. I was hoping to form a similar list myself, as I'm beginning to be sure certain WS cannot proc. Spinning Slash can proc blue !!, Energy Drain and Seraph Blade can proc red !!. At some point I'll try to go through my log to get any others that seem sure~

I'd hesitate to form a Blue !! list just yet. Blue is kind of an issue because it's so difficult to proc and people don't seriously go for it (using all the weaponskills that aren't known to proc Red !!s). Because people only use the "good" weaponskills generally and generally don't try for Blue, only the good weaponskills (like the 200+ skill ones) get reported as possibilities. If we make a list, it'll be even worse because people won't try random ones even if they're trying to get Blue. For instance, Shadowstitch and Spinning Attack wouldn't be reported.

Because THFs are generally not expected to do much more than make drops happen, I find that dagger has gotten pretty filled out with people seeking to help their group get drops by triggering !!s. Cyclone and Energy Drain were rivaled in Red !! frequency only by Jinpu. Anyway, here are WSs that have been reported to trigger Blue !!s:
Dagger - Shadowstitch, Dancing Edge, Shark Bite, and Evisceration - Aka every non-job specific physical dagger WS but Wasp Sting, and who the shit uses Wasp Sting.

Same and its hard on the weaker mobs because they are dead before the list is done. I have yet to trigger a blue using Scythe but I can't say I've tried every WS on every mob.

Changing jobs, everyone's pretty irritated at this point. Is there any practical experience with getting rare drops on blue !!? I don't see much mention of it actually happening in the thread, mostly just people saying that's what it does. Maybe I was just expecting too much, but compared to atma 0/3 is pretty gross for all the effort involved.

Only time I remember someone specifically saying they spam for blue !! and then see drops is ovni belt. It very well may have been in the original abyssea or zone thread, but I thought the guys LS was like 3/3 because they held and spammed WS'd until blue !! then killed.

Planning on trying again at some point, with a more durable NM for proper sample size(maybe eve). For what little it's worth, those were all higher end weaponskills and we went bottom lv to top, so raskovnik likely was too.

Just finished a run of NMs, managed to get grellow fairly reliably by following day of the week stuff. Got one blue !! with gekko on heqet on watersday: dropped 2 war seals.

If i was to make a quick hypothesis to fit my (1) set of facts, could blue !! perhaps be tied to skillchain properties? Gekko being distortion/reverberation.

Edit: Seeing thorny's post of konschtat I guess he can confirm/deny this pretty quick

Off the top of my head I can think about 8 blue !!s that did drop, and one that didn't. At least 50 w/o blue !! that didn't. I can try going through my logs later and get you a better list, but I doubt it's gonna exceed 10-12 blues /w drop
