Grellow -- It's not "any magic below 76." Blizzaga III is the only reported aga that has triggered Grellow !!. There has been only one report of a Scholar specific spell (Libra) triggering Grellow !!. Any form of Dia, Slow, Paralyze, Silence, Gravity, Bind, or Blind have never been reported to trigger Grellow !! (except, iirc, someone claiming Slow II triggered Grellow in the La Theine thread on Ruminator). Look at the list I made on the previous page. That's a summary of everything that has been reported to trigger Grellow !! in this thread.

Blue -- Someone said Shadowstitch triggered a Blue !! on Granite Borer. Assuming their information is accurate, Shadowstitch is skill level 75 and means that every physical dagger WS from Shadowstitch to Evisceration has been reported to cause Blue !!s. I don't know where to draw the line on this one, but it seems to be lower than 150 skill if the last two reports have been accurate.

Red-- Blade: Ei is the only Katana WS that has been reported in association with triggering Red !! on a monster. The other ones were listed, but not in association with any monsters that they triggered Red !!s on. It looked to me like the person was just listing Katana WSs whose description appeared to be elemental. Goten and Kagero only appear to make Red !! for Clave, which either means other people aren't trying them (unlikely) or that Clave does events with large groups and is misattributing the Red !!s. Again, look at my list on the previous page. It's a summary of all the ones that have been reported in the thread, scaled for perceived reliability.

Libra is an ability not a spell - A little skeptical about this one though since I've had my share of "but the message said my action"

Red is by far the least headache "it proc'd switch back to real WS now and murder it"
blue/grellow takes some log looking to make sure you don't accidentally do it a second time.

I know, someone else reported Blizzaga III proccing !! on something as well (the new Orobon iirc). Still, Blizzaga III is the only reported -aga. I'd be unsurprised if all -aga IIIs could proc. A BLM friend came back from his honeymoon, so we'll probably be testing it while we farm seals.

I also agree that Red !! is by far the least ambiguous. Still, someone even reported Red !! to Bio II earlier in the thread <,<. Pre-message especially, people were very bad at identifying cause and effect. I'm not convinced it has gotten much better.

Grellow !! (Greenish Yellow) = (Common drops/AF3 items - Magic Spell)
Any magic spell with the exception of those 76+, merited enfeebles, and single-target tier 1's and 2's.

Blue !! (Rare items - Physical Weapon Skills)
Any non-red !! weaponskill whose skill ranges from 150-289.

Please help refine this. It would be great if we could cut down the time we spend spamming random spells. To help refine, you could either mention things you've never seen or heard of proccing from the "On the List" list, or try and get things on the "Not on the List" list to proc.

if you believe it so much, go test and take screenshots: deaggroing a mob will reset it's weakness so you should be able to force a proc of the correct element deagging it enough times.. don't worry, you don't have to tell us about all the times it doesn't proc

I've noticed the anomalies, and I've offered reasons to poster mishap since they're not something disgustingly out there like "fire on Thundersday", other than mr 8 post who conveniently showed up the moment I posted my theory. I've also seen some fucktarded posts like "Bio2 triggered red", "Libra triggered !!" which means ANY data here could be flawed.

From my own experiences with !!, I've only seen them happen with spells either the element of, weak to, or strong to the day of claim. I've never seen one that didn't fit that personally, although I've seen in here a few that don't. Only have had a handful of !! actually proc though. Most recently Thundaga 1 on watersday on Manohra.

Have you ever popped on Lightsday or Darksday and triggered "!!" with a spell outside of Light or Dark? Just curious.

No, on lightsday and darksday the only things I've ever hit it with is bio II and drain. Like I said, I can count on my fingers how many !! I've seen, I'm not saying that this is definitely how it really is, just my opinion on it and the spells I go for first when trying.

It's certainly possible, Nynja just doesn't do himself any favors with the way he posted about it earlier. Like we said pages ago, the problem with proving it is that if you say it can be the day before or after or the element strong/weak/neutral, you've covered all elements so all cases are true by default. For it to be a viable/useful theory, it needs to be narrowed down.

I wish there was an element connection, but I'd have to say that I don't see the trigger/day combo. You could connect the element you use with the days element in a hundred ways.

Fire 3 trigger:
Firesday >> well it's firesday
Watersday >> well fire is weak to water
Darksday >> Well it's the day before firesday
Iceday >> well it's the day fire is strong to
Lightsday >> well fire fits into the light based spells
Earthsday >> Firesday is the day before.
Thunder/wind - I'm sure someone could find a connection somehow. (Both are also light based spells, or something)

For each reasoning (above) added you increase the chances of some correlation happening. Fire/firesday 1/8 chance, you add a watersday connection, you now have a 1/4 chance, you had a ice connection: 3/8 chance. etc

Or add chances from theories like: "Well maybe it wasn't Firesday, but we popped it on Firesday"

Same with WS. Last night we triggered red !! on Durinn with red lotus blade on lightningday. Sort of hard for me to fit that into the elemental relationship scheme...

I think that people just take note more often when something a spell that correlates with the day happens to be the trigger. I've seen ice3/thunder3 trigger on the same deaggro'd mob, Aero4 and aspir trigger on the same deaggro'd mob. Overall, the most common triggers for me seems to be bio II, drain, aspir...
