Abyssea NM Weaknesses

Went through logs, all fit the proposed theory from JPButton(granted I only had 6).

Were any of them on timed spawn NMs that you possibly wondered across (not claim on pop)?

I just went through 31 Blue triggers. All of them fit the theory except that one Sedna I posted previously. Some were timed spawned NMs that were found up. 2 that I remember off the top of my head were the Imp in Vunkerl and frog in Misareaux.

Almost all. Khalamari twice(second was claim on pop), spider in misareaux, bakka, flame skimmer, and lusca(debatable there i suppose).. I used time of claim for reference.

Checked the all Blue !! my shell has had since SE added the chat message, all of them matched the theory. (All from poped NMs)

Reds don't as expected, if anyone was curious.

I'm unconvinced with the "Time of pop" argument anyway. I think it's time of claim for Grellow regardless of NM type and I haven't seen a great deal of credible evidence contrary to this.

Anyway, you mentioned in another thread (or earlier here idk) that your Blue !! rare item drop rates weren't that impressive. Do you mind looking through and checking if the clock ticked between different time regimes before kill? So maybe you proc at 1:00 and kill at 3:00, no drop because the weakness changed and reset at 2:00.

Was the case on a couple, however, the weakness procced after the 'time block' change in both cases. Pretty convinced it's just selected on pop/claim like grellow and red.

Just went through my logs to confirm that that that theory holds. Also found 2 instances where it proc'd shortly after the time block shifted to the next catagory, which implies that similar to green !! the weakness is determined on claim and not when the spell/ws is used. Lets timeline this...

Whiro spawned on Water/Wind/Ice (weakness Aero4)
Sat around for a couple hours (weakness Aero4)
Was being fought on Light/Dark/Fire (weakness Aero4)
deaggroed (Aero4 weakness is annuled)
then reclaimed on those 3 days (Weakness Aspir)

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLO

... Aero4 and aspir trigger on the same deaggro'd mob

Eh, until I see it myself I don't think I'll believe it. I sometimes kill Flame Skimmer, and that sits up for a looong time, so maybe I'll see it. This would be much more relevant on him than NMs unlike Heqet and Whiro (who are killed about at their repop rate on Lakshmi). Marvin and Hornet would be another two that it would be easy to test on.
