I got an interesting question. Is it possible to trigger Red !! and then zone out and go change to another job while alliance is fighting something and still aquire an Atma? Like does zoning out negate it or does it not matter?

we had a person pop a mob, disconnect while we were fighting it, and we procced red while he was still disconnected. he logged back in and joined alliance right before it died, and he received the key item. I think there's quite a bit of flexibility for situations like this, or zoning out, etc.

Disconnecting and zoning out are substantively different with respect to Abyssea. For example, you can disconnect and have your Atmas + Lights (Cruor buffs disappear). Zoning out; however, removes both of these. Consequently, it would not be surprising if disconnecting kept the benefit of the !! while zoning out did not. the last part is an interesting question, would take a relatively small pool of trials to figure out... in any case, we have definitely sold atma to people who entered the zone and joined the alliance after the !! was triggered, so at the very least, the OP doesn't have to worry about exiting and changing job post-trigger and re-entering to get the atma, since it appears to just fall to anyone in the alliance at the time of death. they can probably exit and re-enter as long as they aren't the one who triggers it, in case the !! is dependant on the person like lights as you suggested, just to be safe. I doubt that's the case though, seems unlikely. as for pop key items, if disconnecting and zoning are completely different like you say, I'm not sure anymore. :/

done over 10m in 2hours on atma sales, honestly it's all about #s.. 250-500k for an atma is a GOOD deal for someone who's linkshell won't do it and if you do a few atma for a lot of people.. adds up fast

Is there any truth to this, or no? I would LIKE it to be truthful, because AM just takes so long to cast, I keep having to cancel it rather than land it in the middle of TP.

Know what I hate? People who bitch about what other people buy. At one point, I was willing to buy atmas until I found out how ridiculously easy the NMs were and got them myself. Having said that, it's really about time. The gil you spend is something you can make outside of abyssea. For individuals without a lot of Abyssea time (Maybe because their LS is a joke or they get shitty PUG PTs), you're smarter to save your time by paying the gil and zoning in for the kill. For individuals incapable of finding disaggregated competent players, you're better off paying for the atma than hoping to get pop items from a PUG. For players that simply cannot play as much as they would like, it's better for them to buy the atma.

I can testify that AM and AM2 are not linked. Freeze proc'd, but Freeze II did not. This was on a duo-kited cockatrice NM in Attohwa.

To comment on getting Atma if leaving the zone or entering after red proc'd, we had this happen today with Yaanei. Fought it lowman and proc'd red, one person joined towards the very end (was not there when we proc'd red) and engaged it and got atma, while one person who had to HP during the fight came back and did not get atma. He did engage when he came back so I think that puts that theory to rest. It also went random yellow during the fight when someone died and we still got atma also. Didn't have to retrigger red or grellow.

What? I've HPed and come back and gotten atma (I did it for Atma of the Cosmos 2 days ago...went and switched to monk to try to proc blue after we procced red, re-entered on monk, got atma). It's not the first time I or others have done it...I rarely even bother asking for a D2 in abyssea, homepointing is just faster and less effort...

In reference to grellow !!, does either current day, day before, or day after tend to have a higher chance to hold the trigger or is it literally random chance through the 24 spells?
