In all seriousness BG has not changed much in the 5 years I've been here. ~90% bullshit/10% useful information. It has problems, but it's still the best run FF11 forum around.

imo, 90+% of useful information about FFXI comes from that 10% you are speaking of.

really, i said you were one of the useful people, but if you go back through post histories i've easily posted twice as many strategies as you have(admittedly mostly older things, i was too busy playing to get first in on a lot of abyssea)

Is getting 4 emp drops ( lanterns, helms, gems) the norm when getting grellow trigger? Im seeing some screenshots of 4 Briareus Helms in pool and thats just sick.

What..? That's fake. Yellow proc on Vision NMs gives more mats and doesn't affect empyrean items. If they gave more on scars NMs, we'd have seen lots of screenshots by now.

I've never heard of more than two, since it should theoretically hold the same effect on the scars NM's, and grellow just gives extra AF3+2 items. visions is extra mats, nothing more.

It's been mentioned before, but it's not unheard of to manage 2 Gigas kills in less than 5 mins to see both drops in pool at once~ It's also not that rare to see 2 Carbosse kills in under 5 mins by killing Carbosse before benediction fires. Other than that, they're limited to 2 Empyrean drops per mob. I haven't seen any proof for !! proc affecting the Empyrean drops from those NMs. Without !! it seems to be 100% for one, and 50% on the other so high drop rate anyway~

Some people can kill Empyrean item droppers in under 2 minutes, hence 4 in the pool at once. Kill Monster-> Pop 3 minutes later -> Kill Monster in under 2 minutes = 2 drops worth of monster items in the pool
