idk if it's old news or what (I remember one post to the contrary), but I'm pretty sure Blue !! WSs must land to trigger. I missed Mistral Axe (looked very clean, logs show TP move 4 seconds later) and re-did it. It ended up proccing.

It has to land...whether its 1 hit out of 5 in a multihit, does 0 because of stoneskin or massive defense, or even heals it because of its modes, as long as it lands it'll proc.

Brooder popped on radar at 5:45 game time, I popped him in game at 6:30ish and got a blue proc from Howling Fist on MNK.

Most NM's we've killed lately close to 6:00-6:30 have not had any blue proc's from piercing. It's possible the server clock, or even our assumption of the time split, is off?

Most of the accounts claiming issues with piercing place the time of claim at anything between 6-7. Chances are that piercing begins at 7, thus it would be safest to pop whatever after.

Seems that way, or a bug...but it's really odd that blunt suddenly has more than 8/24 hrs accounted. Was "nice" being an even 1/3rd split.

Judgment proced Blue !! on Bakka when it was claimed at 6:25ish (piercing time). Guess our theory was right.

For all we know, it could be even finer than that. Perhaps certain weapon types have little slots within "blunt" or "slashing" time, for instance. Seems that whenever I've been aiming for blue on multiple NMs in a very short period of time, oftentimes it'll turn out to be the same weapon or even the same WS (GKT and Kasha come to mind), even though the odds of this occuring should be astronomical compared to what we know.

Guess I should start running Logger. How would I go about seeting AutoExec to run Logger in an Abyssea zone?

Just popped Tristitia between 6 and 7 and got a blue proc off of True Strike. Don't have any logs or anything right now but I figured I'd add this since there was some debate on the time.

I think it's safe to say there's a discrepancy between 6-7, and that it might have been inadvertently changed in the near past. For now I'm going to believe Blunt extends to 7 until they fix it.

I thought the theory was that there is an overlap time, which would mean at 6:35 blunt or piercing would be able to proc (seeing as piercing is the 0600 - 1400)

I suppose I misunderstood though.

Thus my confusion, Spinning Slash is slashing, so it shouldn't matter when blunt turns to piercing seeing as spinning slash is neither.

While Spining Slash is indeed slashing, Spinning Attack is blunt.
