Had 2 mobs recently where we went through spell list atleast twice and were not able to trigger grellow. I remember Failure saying he's about 99% sure he's seen helix proc. Anyone experimented with more BLU spells or have SS of helix procing?

If it was a spell that could resist, did you make sure they landed?
Also supposedly feather step can proc but still only one reported source ever.

I stressed to our brd/nin that the threnody had to stick. I fully expect the "its complete you just suck" replies that I'm sure are inc, I was just trying to find out if others are having trouble occasionally procing grellow with that list.

Were thunder spells part of your list for the day? It could be that stuns completely block hitting the weak point and Blitzstrahl may be your culprit. Getting 1000 Needles to land is a huge pain in the ass sometimes, our BLUs end up drinking Ascetics and using Apollo's.

Bah if this double posts then fml, but it was Ice day thus wind/ice/thunder on Ulhuadshi. Do BLU spells have to do DMG, or is 0 dmg good enough?

0 damage is fine (like from double weak), healing the NM is fine, nothing to dispel should be fine. It just can't fail to take effect (BLU spells) or be fully resisted.

If it's just me then ya it's either user error on my part or the brd/nin and I'll pay closer attention to my blu mule!

One of my linkshell's members post-update proc'd grellow on marvin using hojo:ni. This was not on the list prior to update. PS2 so no screenshot, but he was doing it solo, so it's pretty reasonable to believe that it was in fact hojo and not some other spell.

He brought this up when tonight we went through the entire list on iceday on Itzpapalotl and failed to proc grellow. 99% certain that one or both cycles of the entire list landed cleanly.

I still maintain this has always been the case. Had another 1 like 3 days before Heroes on Pulverizer (we easily did everything twice while it was being kited).
That may be a "complete" list, and it's a bug when none of those proc it, or something, but this def happened pre-Heroes.

Pulverizer, specifically, was problematic for most groups. Considering he has a disappearing bug that SE pointed out, I wouldn't be surprised if that also affected red !!.

We even made sure that blu 1000 needles actually landed while he was not casting, we tried all thunder dark and light spells and no luck with proc.

This mob is not really ja or magic spamer so i am actually starting to believe that there might be new magic or spells to trigger yellow.

One more thing anyone found out the new abyssite that lets u know weakness ?

So yes.. Darksday pop would be Light, Dark, Fire
