That's because the Gold tab is current gold not total gold.
Don't forget about gold loss on deaths.

Valve confirmed that there is a latency on commands given that HoN does not have due to interpolation which is a result of the networking setup they use for the source engine. They are working on fixing it apparently. I don't understand how anyone playing can not notice it, it's a very noticeable lag on any command you give. Other than that things are good, the shop could be better and there are thing that are little things that are missing, but the heroes, effects, etc. all seem to be working fairly well.
Some games are even but then games like these happen.. hope their MM will eventually work nicely

I almost got used to it playing a few games in a row last night but I still want to believe they will get rid of it entirely at some point like it is in HoN. That is like the one thing about HoN that they need to replicate because it makes the game responsive like an RTS should be, if this sort of lag was in a game like Starcraft it'd be horrible, it being in DotA should be equally inexcusable.
I also need to rethink everything with orbs stacking. So it's always a good idea to get life leech on carry heroes now, yeah?
