God I fucking love Spirit Breaker. IT'S PURE GOTTA GO FAST
i haven't been on a winning team with spirit breaker yet, lol.
i have not seen a game where sb hasn't won.
they need to work on some things with that hero. one of them being able to tp scroll while charging.
Can I add you guys as friends, I'm on sporadically so it would be nice to see when other people are playing
Whenever I play him, I go out ganking mid-early game and by team fights/late game I've pissed off the other team so much they just tunnel into me ignoring everything else. It's fucking hilarious.
When I play Spirit Breaker it's charge 24/7, it's just a matter of whether the team can support it and capitalize on it.
Yeah but none of you guys are pros, so your point is irrelevant. I was referring to normal games in which it constantly happens lol. They aren't niche pub-stomp carries either, there are plenty that I haven't listed simply cause they aren't in Dota 2 yet. Storm Spirit can stomp just as hard and he isn't a "pub-stomp carry". Also remember that anti-mage and void are also played in competitive games so I don't get where you got that from.
Your point is that DotA requires less teamwork. That is false. DotA relies very heavily on teamwork, much more so than LoL imo.
Moreover, you qualified your statement saying that can't happen in LoL unless it's below a certain level. Well it's the same thing in DotA. In a decent MMR bracket, games are generally won through teamwork not 1v5 carries. I'll admit it does happen, but in my experience (playing since version 5) it's a minority of games.
Yes Anti-Mage and Void are played in professional games. But they don't win by 1v5'ing an entire team like you said. Even in extremely one sided matches, it is the support heroes that usually facilitate the carry's dominance.
I never said DotA requires less teamwork, I said DotA on a NORMAL scale meaning anything that isn't professional (High MMR, dunno what this is but I'm assuming some sort of solo queue ranking?) You could be high in solo queue but you still aren't shit sadly. I'm talking tournament level play, an entire team working together, it's a whole different ball game. DotA on a normal level requires less team work because the game is generally centered around waiting until your hyper carry reaches a status where he is near unkillable. While in League you are really only running 1 to 2 supports. DotA tends to have 1-2 carries only, and sometimes they opt for having a strong early tri-lane or a utility jungler which facilitates in early ganks.
And yes there are push strats and aoe comps but these are only seen when the team is organized (i.e usually not a normal game or not often at the very least)
Now DotA when is played professionally it requires a huge deal of teamwork, much more than League, I agree 100%.
Yes, and I'm saying even on this scale, DotA is a much more teamwork oriented game than LoL.
Except that if the system works correctly, your team will generally be comprised of people your skill level and you will be facing people your skill level. So having a high pub ranking does matter.(High MMR, dunno what this is but I'm assuming some sort of solo queue ranking?) You could be high in solo queue but you still aren't shit sadly. I'm talking tournament level play, an entire team working together, it's a whole different ball game.
Perhaps in DotA1 you could argue because there was no filter on pub games. But that's why programs like Banlist evolved, and why leagues like DxD formed.
And I'm saying no it doesn't. Unless you are playing really low level games.DotA on a normal level requires less team work because the game is generally centered around waiting until your hyper carry reaches a status where he is near unkillable.
You said that unless the LoL match is under level 30, one person can't dominate.
I am saying the exact same thing, except there is no explicit levels in DotA. Unless the game is really low level, it's not a game that revolves around a carry becoming unkillable.
It's much easier in a LoL game for one person to dominate the way you are describing than it is in DotA.
And I'm saying, even in pub games, it's the Earthshakers and the Tidehunters and the Enigmas that win the game. 9 out of 10 games it will be who have the better teamwork and synergy.yes there are push strats and aoe comps but these are only seen when the team is organized (i.e usually not a normal game or not often at the very least)
It's very rare at higher level games for an Anti-Mage or Faceless to just flat out put the team on his back. They need their team supporting them.
It's easier to dominate in LoL, but in DotA it has a much bigger impact generally speaking. And I've played plenty of high level DotA games, they are generally 50min games with the stronger late game team always winning. Unless it's a complete stomp granted, people tend to always pick safe shit like Weaver/Anti-mage because they are hard to kill and easy to kill with.
A nice shaker ult or engima ult can win you a team fight but there comes a point where they just fall off completely with the lack of level/hp and the infamous BKB. Although I talked to a friend of mine and he said the last patch is sort of trying to shift the current meta away from the hyper late game carry by adding more cc items so I could be wrong in the future.
You can carry much harder in DotA than you can in LoL.
With them releasing a new champion every 2 weeks, they will never balance properly, it just won't happen. Still with people thinking a LoL champion can out carry a DotA hero, is wrong, just due to how characters scale and items available for them (here's looking at you BKB).
Furion is probably the most annoying hero to go against. Did have an epic game where we were down 10k gold at one point, but redeemed with dark seer, earthshaker, and sand king, felt so good to see their team vaporize in a second.
