My interview with EG's Maelk live now:

battlefury on BH!?
Battlefury is a default farm item for a lot of heroes because it gives you regen early and it lets you cleave kill neutrals and lane creeps. For BH, it works well to boost BH's guaranteed crit with Jinada and also gives some mana regen to help keep up the wind-walk ganking
Nice interview Gred, just got done reading it.
I haven't really got a chance to test it yet since dota is down but I've been reading a lot of things about skipping battlefury entirely and focusing on ganking getting bigger items such as deso quicker. Idk, shit's situational?
While the "ganker" and "carry" lines get blurry with some heroes, Bounty Hunter is actually quite a clear case scenario. He doesn't scale very well at all since the changes to Jinada (it used to be a % based evasion and critical, instead of a timer based crit and maim). Combined with a below average animation and attack rate, he won't win a farm battle with a true carry.
But it's not a wasteful item if the situation calls for it. I tend to go cleave on BH for the same exact reason I dislike invis heroes; their ganking potential isn't all that great against a team that exhibits proper warding and map awareness. As a result I usually need to spend more time farming than I like, and I usually find myself hurting for mana.
But Deso does augment more directly what his specialty is. Also, track's gold gain is great for the team in general you want to be ganking as much as possible.
the concept art of Shadow demon looks cool :O they're up on dota2.com
As well as Sylla and Lycan. Games are gonna change quite a bit once those 3 hit the field.
I think basically its going to be impossible to deny a team a good hard carry through bans now. Also I think people are going to stop banning Night Stalker given that there's always Lycan to default to.
So yeah the game needs more bans at this point.
Im really loving me some BH.

Sylla currently is really really strong.

wtf at naix comments lol
Lycan (i.e. Warbeast) was also really strong in DotA, but not so much in HoN.
Some of it has to do with the shift in meta from the heroes not in Hon and the HoN exclusive heroes, some of it has to do with how jungling is slower in HoN, but a lot of it has to do with competitive heroes vs. pub heroes. Pro-HoN kinda died out.
I may be wrong in this but wasn't the bear nerfed in HoN? I don't believe it was the extra damage to buildings or entangle that Sylla's bear has. Lycan was nerfed pretty hard in HoN too.
