Is there a fatal flaw to Omni? cause i just played him and actually he's the only support so far that i like lol

Obviously I defer to people way more experienced than myself, but I was thinking the same thing (I'm trying to pick up Rhasta/Omni/DarkSeer), so I google'd hero counters:
Omniknight : Perma-bashers, Troll Warlord, Faceless Void, DPS heros, Phantom Assassin, Naga Siren
(source: http://berehel.blogsome.com/2008/01/...counter-guide/)
EDIT: Looking over items and his item builds, I think items like diff blade would hurt because they remove his repel/I don't know if it removes Guardian Angel. So maybe a heroes that use diffusal blades in their standard builds would also be a nuisance.
Thanks, yeah i read in one of the guides that Purge removes Repel :/
good lord, i just played a game and i got rocked...there's no concept of easing in, especially when the game's been out so long and people around me have 300-1000 games experience.
Yeah just keep playing games DOTAs matchmaking is pretty bad though you will regularly get matched with people well outside your skill range.
Honestly, I think the best way to learn the game is to random, read abilities, grab a guide (playdota) and just follow it. Now I'm not sure if there is a random in DotA 2, never checked, but you can easily just pick a different hero every game. Learning all of the heroes is an important part of the game and without knowledge of every hero you will never be decent, no matter how 'aware' you are.
yes there's a random in dota 2. have you never looked at the character select screen? lol
Omni is a strong support generally, he's best played with a team that has a carry whoneeds a BKB though so that he can give them Repel. As Repel is single target and can no longer be kept on two people (yes it used to last long enough to keep two people permanently immune), he's not great against a magic heavy lineup that can roast multiple people then commit to fighting the repel target 5 on 1.
The same general rule extends to his ult -- it will not prevent magical death, so if you use it to save your 300 hp carry, Lina can just run up and use Laguna. On the other hand if you are fighting a very physical carry, like say Void, and you manage to escape the ult, running in and using your ult can pretty much turn the tides.
He works well with tanks or tanky-carries especially so that he can heal them (Huskar, Dragon Knight, N'aix, Pudge, Axe, Centaur Warchief)
He is countered by bashers, but really, high AS carries with bashers demolish pretty much everyone but image heroes. Supports aren't meant to fight those types of heroes 1v1. Rhasta is pretty much the only one who can do it, provided they don't have a BKB.
Strongly recommend you familiarize yourself with heroes by reading a guide, and doing at least one practice game with some bots, before playing them in a game. Otherwise you're going to get raged at when you are mess up and they ask you why you didn't do X and you go "I dunno LOL!"
also adding this to the OP.
STOP ASKING FOR INVITES AND EMBARRASSING YOURSELF, NO ONE WILL SEND YOU ANYTHING BECAUSE THERE'S NO EXTRA INVITES ANYMORE! AGAIN, IT'S SIMPLY NOT POSSIBLE, EXTRA INVITES DON'T EXIST!
And stop with the sent spam, people actually fall for it and spawn even more begging.

If you have any questions such as "What hero I should play if I'm new?" or "How do I start playing?" - the answers are in here, just read and watch, don't go asking them in generals. Even if you ask, the answers you'll get will either be vague or outright trolling, they might also completely ignore you. So, do yourself a favor and just look it up in here.
And to people that are coming from LoL and wondering what's is the difference between two games - the difference is obvious once you know the basics, so, make sure to check out the learning section.

That should be a pretty good match, looking forward to it
This was solo bot against Invoker/Sand King's Cold Snap and Stun combo while my Chen didn't feel like coming over unless it was to hold the lane while I healed.

who here does this remind you of
I need one of those Hitler oversubs with it being about someone picking Clinkz, Doom, Kunkka, Bloodseeker, Riki, Sniper, BH, Alch
Or Juggernaut Gred, you almost killed the guy that picked Jugg haha
Here's a good writeup on why Omniknight fell out of favor as a healer compared to other options.
He's still really good so long as the other side doesn't use Veno/Rhasta to push or is magic centric (which usually isn't the case in pubs because retards love their stupid heroes which are invariably physical based melee)
