I don't really understand what happened and haven't seen an explanation for someone who doesn't know what happened there at Roshan. Wrong player picked up the Aegis? Why did that cost them the game?

Person on their team attacked the aegis on accident, destroying (denying) it. The other team wasnt even near the rosh pit, the dude made a mistake most new players won't even make.
