Very close, but ultimately fatal, call on EG's part thinking they could take throne after they caught Kunkka. If they had just backed would have been even lanes and I think they are in a better defenders' position from then on with the middle lane to offset the top. I don't think they should go for that play until their entire team has Travels.

mmm, i get what you're saying but i kind of agree with what they did. dc had been picking them apart and it was only a matter of time before they lost if they had just maintained that pace. kinda think that was their best chance to win there.

i do agree it was pretty close though.

I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

Shadow Demon did work against Fear's TB. I forgot how the damage scales on those illusions compared to Manta, PL, and Naga illusions. And they have a bit of durability. When I saw the Divine come out and Fear get disrupted, I pretty much said to myself "GG RIP ancient."

I think part of the reason the split push had been so effective is because DC were up a lane of rax so whenever EG made movement, DC could threaten EG's base by tping to the taken lane then going for another side once creeps were in base.

With EG having secured mid, they could start splitting themselves by sending the team top and Fear bot. That forces DC to push against super creeps to try get into the base. Eventually over the long haul, DC gets stronger with Kunkka but EG doesn't need to fight cores vs. cores; they just need to land some of their big AOEs to let Fear do building damage.

Again it was a close call and EG probably decided that trying to end in one swift stroke was easier execution than trying to fight a long game, but I think they are a team that can do well with high stakes late game defense (see EHOME game)

Metamorph gives base dmg, which means the illusions get the full benefit of it. That's the biggest reason why TB illusions are so much better pound for pound that any other illusion besides CK's phantasm (who get 100% damage). Rapier doesn't benefit anyone's illusions because bonus dmg never applies to illusions, only +stat damage (because that is converted into base dmg)

yeah i see what you're saying and i think on instinct you're definitely right. but the line about easier execution to win the game right then and there is what they were leaning on and more confident about.

Misery's always been super underrated because he flames in pubs and the EU community thinks that means a player doesn't have a mentality that lets them improve (despite all evidence to the contrary)

Arcana are usually one item, it's just that they have so many secondary effects to justify the price that they usually are basically a new model. My guess is that it will be a mask since there are so many unique Juggernaut swords already.

Honestly the change from 5.84c to 6.00 wasn't this big. The level up talent trees are a huge change.

Hey remember that moba that flopped horribly despite being from a AAA developer, having a cast of iconic characters, and a huge budget? Let's copy it.

I won't pass judgment on them but I wonder what their reasoning is

First of all, I don't think that game has flopped. It seems like it's doing OK, much better than 90% of all MOBAs that have come out.

Secondly, even if it did flop, that doesn't mean the game does not have any good ideas. God knows Icefrog has taken many ideas from HoN(even in this patch) and that game faltered like no other.

Third of all, I don't think the idea is bad. The reason why people didn't like in HOTS is that the talent system replaced the item system. Dota 2 is getting talents ON TOP of the item system. I think its really cool for supports, to have some type of cool progession, even if they're not getting a lot of gold for the sake of the carries.

My only reservation of the talent system, is that it may make heroes a bit too shoe-horned into a support. Part of what made Dota so dynamic in the best, is you'd see carry vengeful spirits, and support weavers.
