Game 3 of OG vs. LGD in the Winners' Bracket Finals was literally the closest game in all of TI iirc.
I think the balance right now is way too forgiving for late game compositions, which in turn punishes better teams, but the "excitement" of having huge comeback swings is a perverse incentive to keep the balance this way.
Holy shit, a Morphling bug might have cost LGD the G4. Apparently if Morph levels while he's Replicated he doesn't gain stats correctly -- he gets the morphed hero's stat gain and then he reverts to Morph's base stats as they were at the time he initiated the ult.
All in all, Ame's Morph basically lost the equivalent of a full Skadi's worth of Str and Agi due to the bug. Maybe he lives a few more times and LGD closes out G4 (and wins 3-1) before PL was so problematic had the bug not been in play.

I mean the bug only happened and the game was only in that state because Ame spent basically the whole game morphed into PL. Which he was only doing because he was abusing another morph bug. So the lost attributed didn't actually hamper him that much because he was never fighting as morphling. If you remove both bugs it's unlikely he loses anywhere near that amount of stats and LGD is probably not int he same position in the game anyway.
I'm not sold on the idea that Doppleganger illusions from Morph's replicate shouldn't get Juxtapose. Taking control of a PL illusion with Enchant, or making PL illusions with Disruption, do the same thing.
Whether intentionally designed this way or not, it's a feature for how you can use control spells to counter PL with you own PL armies. Tons of shit in DotA exists because of unintentional effects on balance.
We know it's actually the bug because morph's PL illusions also get PL's crit talent after level 20 even if PL himself doesn't have it. He basically makes stronger illusions than PL does. And taking PL illusions and using them to get juxtapose is a completely different situation because those are illusions of PL's main hero who has juxatapose, where illusions of morphling are are illusions of a version of PL that doesn't have juxtapose. It's just one of many bugs regarding morph and passive ultimates.
EDIT: Ok seems the illusions of morph PL are just fucked in general, they also get the +10% evasion talent if you are above level 10.
Team Spirit proving Russian pubs plaguing EU are in fact way better than South American and SEA pubs in NA.
