Greetings Daevas,

It’s been another busy week here at NCsoft, and despite being infected with an officewide plague-like flu of sorts, we’re still alive! We have a lot to talk about this week, so let’s get to it!

We know that many of you have been patiently waiting for your Major Crowns and Suspicious Yellow Sacks as part of the Dash of the Daevas and Fight on the Right Side events. Obviously, we’ve run into a few problems distributing these items as quickly as we wanted to, so we’re adopting a new strategy.

For the Dash of the Daevas crown rewards, we’re going to issue every active Aion account 14 Major Ancient Crowns. Grats! These will be claimable one time through the Account Management page. Our current timeframe for distribution is sometime in the next week or two.

For the Fight on the Right Side event, we’re going to be issuing the Yellow Sacks through a few in-game surveys next week. This survey will also only be claimable once per account.

Another project we’ve been working on is one that will improve our character transfer service by adding safeguards in place to prevent negative impacts on server balance. We’re happy to report that we’ve finished the development on the system upgrades, and they’re currently being tested. Once the testing is complete, we will reopen our character transfer service with dynamic caps in place.

While you wait for more information, we’d like to encourage you to meet with your friends and evaluate your play experience and server time zone. If you are seeking to change servers, we encourage you to consider adding your leadership and fighting spirit to a faction on a server with room for reinforcements.

Basically after the server mergers, they wanted to reward each faction for doing certain things first. They gave us a 2 week limit on completing said things (hence "Dash" of the daevas)

Some of them included taking lower forts first .. taking divine and killing some of the higher tier named and completeing instances first. They were gonna give group/alliance rewards as well as faction rewards (for example if elyos took divine all elyos would get 5 crowns)

Everything was great ... then they screwed up the transfers and the servers went completely unbalanced. The brilliant people at NCsoft then decided to give the runner ups in said contest Major Goblets while the winners got Major Crowns.

THEN they messed up giving out the rewards. SO now instead of getting crowns and goblets .. each person gets 14 crowns for 1 character.

I dont understand how they DIDN'T see this coming. "Hey guys .. great Idea!. Lets merge the servers .. THEN .. wait for it .... wait for it .. open transfers up the NEXT day .. thus negating what the mergers were supposed to do. Sure it will mess up the balance but what the hell .. lets throw some shitty event and make them think they are competing with the other faction for AP. Wont they look stupid when they realize we are just gonna give the Ap to everyone anyway lulz"

idk why they changed it (not that I mind), but did they just make up the contest, and then realized they can't give elyos/asmo diff rewards? or didnt keep track of who gets what?

im thinking that they didnt expect any asmos to take anything. being as the asmos are the underdogs. so they only implemented for elyos to get the crowns. now that asmos are on top on vaizel, they have to recode things so it will reward the asmos. however, they dont like that any of their precious elyos are losing, so they will just give everyone the rewards.
