10 suicides 300,000-400,000 employees means that Foxconn workers actually are a significant improvement over China's normal suicide rate(12-16 per year per 100,000).

All advanced societies are built on the backs of slave-labor(whether it be actual slavery, or effective surfdom), ours is no different.

Those slave wages, those beatings, you...me...we....enable it. Speaking against it is hypocritical at best, because at the end of the day we vote with our wallets, and we love cheap goods, cheap food, and easy living more than we care about the lives of strangers, and we pretty much always will.

So no, there is no story here, even with the wages and the beatings, this is reality, and it will continue on this way. I'm sure hearing about conditions in one(of 500,000) factories being improved makes you feel good inside, but it's all just a facade to pretty it up and keep it far from your mind.
