Urat at his best.
Watch your TP.
TP from same attack round always comes in at once as 1 big junk. So if you make like a 15 TP jump it´s a true Trippleattack
I believe KParser runs on the timestamps of your attacks, this is my parse with Mkris.

I think certain pairs of attack animations will cause each other to overlap and cause KParser to interpret them as a triple, or in my case, quadruple+ attacks.
This is an interesting thread, as it reminds me of a few years ago when a few of us were trying to figure out why a RDM/WHM was definitely going into triple attack animations with Garuda's Dagger. No parser, so no proof, but there were never any double attack animations, only triples. He eventually got a real weapon and we forgot about it.
The only thing that I can see that is the same is the lack of dual wield.
While using an octave club, I noticed that when I equip-change blink while attacking, all attacks in a round immediately appear in the log instead of being emitted at the normal rate of one entry per weapon swing. It seems that the logging of your actions is based on the animation, so maybe you could set up a script to continuously change equip while parsing.
Shit used to happen to me back in ye olde days of Ninja. Anytime I had SV marches and had a parser going it would show ridiculous amounts of triple attacks in the log. I'm pretty sure I don't have any on but relic+perdu + expected gear is the same situation as you have here it seems. Delay and probably PC speed too low for Kparser to not lag sometimes.
Some swinging animations take more time than others so it could cause you to see a triple or double attack but really there isn't one. Obvious I know but if that is the case it would be unfortunate, because anything that makes this dagger sexier than it already is would be awesome.
Engage mob, attack once, turn away, watch animation/TP.
Turn back to face mob, attack once, turn away, watch animation/TP.
Repeat.
As many others have mentioned, KParser's attack round feature is its most inaccurate feature, so you need a much better way to test.
Joking about Hecatomb THF aside, going into Excavation duty a few times with THF and full Hecatomb (or even partial) should be good enough for Kparser to resolve attack rounds correctly if you don't want to monitor TP return manually. (Personally, I have had no issues with the Extra Attacks tab checking Joyeuse's DA rate, so Auric + full hecatomb should be plenty fine. Just have some common sense about giving it a chance to work correctly.)
As for sample size requirements, suppose there is a TA 2% to be detected. Then you would need around 1500 attack rounds to have a good probability of detecting it statistically. There is no good reason to suppose that it does though, but you don't go about showing it doesn't with a sample size below 10.
Or just go fight a Spider on DNC.
I've been using KParser a lot recently and i've also have seen some strange numbers in the Additional Attacks pane leading me to believe it's a little funk d'funk.
on another note, just based on knowledge of items in game, SE and just the general stats on auric, i highly doubt it has anything hidden - the dagger is already sick and one of the top of the line daggers you can get nix the magians. 39dmg, sick. 201d, okay i can do that. 10 subtle blow, why not? another dual wield peice, i'm melting and most items with a hidden effect have lame ass stats, horrible stats or none at all. Dune boot and er, ahem, opo-opo crown.
i wish it did lol
altho it does seem like i TA more its might be becasue im swinging faster
Aren't you the guy who wanted to petition for more Dual Wield for THF? Way to look a gift horse in the mouth, lol.
Yes this was just one of his 10 spam posts so he could post links. Why isn't this guy banned?lol
