    PS3 Bluetooth

So I've had this for awhile but hadn't used it a whole lot because I had a lot of trouble from the get go talking with a friend of mine, but we had always assumed his bluetooth was the problem. Last night he hooks up with a friend of his online and the connection turns out just fine, although in a different game than what we've tried. So we hop into the new game hoping to have better luck and nothing. Same loud crackle, pop noise, as well as a very tinny sound whenever he talks.

Thinking I just had a bunk headset I hooked it up to my iPhone and lo and behold it works perfectly. No interference, no anything. Now we know my headset is suffering because of the low wireless internet signal (chat dropping in and out), but nothing I can find online says that, that would cause the interference. I thought it may have been my microwave which sits about 10~15ft from me, but I couldn't replicate the interference on my cellphone without actually turning it on to cook something and then it was just as bad as it usually is.

So I'm a bit at a loss here. What kind of things should I be looking for to move out of my immediate range to attempt to clear up interference? Is there something else I should be doing to fix this? I'm kind of at a loss and turning on the Xbox + PS3 just for game chat is getting old.

I'm assuming you've opened the Audio Device Settings under the XMB and said random shit to mic for it to echo back over the built-in speaker to ensure it's not a problem locally?

I've gone into the audio settings when messing with the volume and such and the playback sounds like it should assuming everything was working as it should. No hiccups, no tinny sound.

The one thing I did notice after turning my game bluetooth on again last night was after I sync it to the PS3 and turn it on, the crackle/pop noise starts immediately. I don't even have to been in a game for that to start showing up. Would the Xbox or Wii being close to it be causing these problems due to their wireless signals?
