There's not really very many so you just have to default teams in. That's the thing with this season.. some real shitty teams. Big XII is fairly weak, SEC's what.. 1.5 teams? maybe 2 if you count Auburn (which I don't)? Big Ten has OSU, but they struggled with Illinois.. Wisconsin's a fraud, so Michigan State? Pac 10 has Oregon.. Stanford (who just got blown out), USC..oh wait. Yeah.. may be the best chance Boise has to get in lol
It really feels like every team got shittier this year, I don't know how it is possible. Actually maybe some Big 10 teams seem a little better?
Although the irony about me saying that is that CU is "better" although they are still a terrible team. A terrible team that has a realistic shot at a bowl game.
I would like to request a title change to, "CFB 2010: Piss on you, Lane Kiffin!"
only 4 years of eligibilty will do that, and some teams just didn't stay on top of recruiting.
Florida needs to find a center.
Auburn is doing well squeaking out games, but resting it all on cam newton isn't going to work forever.
Arkansas is still good they just got rattled when Bama showed up defensively and pressured Mallet
LSU needs a new coach or figure out their offense they can't move the ball well at all.
Tennessee is making improvements, I think Dooley will do things that I don't want to happen at UT.
You'd think by now Spurrier would have found a decent Qb for SC
Miss State needs a little more growing they won't be middle tier next year.
Georgia needs a new staff, you only get one year to blame the problems on another coach. I don't think Richt has much time left.
Vandy is just doctor playing football nothing more to see there
Kentucky is basketball nothing else
Ole Miss I don't know what the fuck houston nutt is doing over there
Alabama needs to play a full fucking game. I'm hoping Nico Johnson taking over playcalling will help get people in their right spots. Too many times has someone been out of position. Offensively I would like to see some more Tight end passing like we had with Peek. Also want to see less risk taking by Mcelroy.
Pretty pathetic game today. We switched QBs like every series, Jefferson finished with a solid 3/10 30 yards 2 INTs line, while our only hope Jarrett Lee was 16-23 185 yds 1 INT(bad pick in the end zone). However, Lee also threw a great deep ball to Rueben Randle and a clutch pass to convert on 4th and 13. It's pretty fucking obvious which QB gives us the best chance to win.
I lol'd reading the reactions to the final series in this thread, not much different from the student section.
Tennessee should have won that game, but LSU trollin the SEC as always
I called Boise getting jumped in the rankings by Oregon, but deservedly so. Oregon offense is looking unstoppable, LaMichael James is a top Heisman contender for sure. Robinson belongs in the talk, but they haven't played a single good defense yet, and almost got beat by loldiana.
I just realized that Ohio State and the winner of the Michigan State-Northwestern game could both end up undefeated.
Yeah, and I forget what the big 10 uses for a tiebreaker when theres no h2h game. Irrelevant though, OSU can go get blown out by Bama or Boise or Oregon, Im happy with beating Arizona or Stanford in Pasadena.
So who thinks its about time for Brantley to get benched and Steve Addazio to be fired? Ripping my gd hair out at the thought of the piece of shit play caller Addazio still having Meyer suck his cock despite the fact that he blows big time. Mullen needs to give up on this head coaching thing at Miss State and come back to Florida where he belongs...
Can't believe how poor of a QB Brantley is, and that we have yet to really recruit a bigger, tough running back the entire time Meyer has been head coach. Tebow is the only legit power runner we have ever had. Demps is too fucking small and the O-line is not dominant, need someone who can shed tackles and punish defenses.
Edit: omg lol, I was about to edit this and say I should start a firesteveaddazio.com website (like the infamous fireronzook.com) but someone is way ahead of me: http://www.firesteveaddazio.com/
John Brantley would be a great quarterback if UF wasn't running an offense that wasn't right for him. they still want to run that offense built for tebow when Brantley is more suited for a pro style. Also, I would have though Meyer would have recruited a center that could snap in shotgun, or practice snapping under center. Demps would be more suited for screen type passes where he could have a chance of outrunning or juking someone. He can't come out of the backfield and expect to take that punishment. I'm not sure if Florida can develop it's 4&5 star recruits like they did in the past. Furthermore, defensively they aren't like the previous 4 years. the guys on the field against Bama got worn out and the "tough" linebackers were getting trucked and weren't wrapping up.
From the Big 10 official website:So it's the BCS standings. Line #4 might as well have just read "Ohio State wins."Originally Posted by Big10
Keep in mind that if the Rose Bowl loses a team to the NCG this year, they have to take a non-AQ (if available) for a replacement team. So If Ohio State goes to the NCG and the Pac-10 champ doesn't go to the NCG, a non-AQ team would go to the Rose Bowl instead (i.e. Boise State, TCU, Utah). Of course, a 12-0 Big 10 team is going to the BCS even if they can't go to the NCG or Rose Bowl, but an 11-1 or 10-2 team might get stiffed this year.Originally Posted by Kirin
the whole "on schedule" style of playcalling needs to go out the window. why on earth would you want to have a predictable schedule for a college football offense? alabama was stacking the box like crazy against florida because they knew we weren't going to take shots down field. it was embarrassing. it's gotten to the point where our opponent calls our plays before we do!
i really don't see brantley having accuracy problems. it seems to me like everything but brantley is wrong at the moment lol. stupid play calls and bad snaps will make any quarterback look bad. stop making brantley run the option: it's embarrassing to watch and he's going to get injured. And stop running up the middle with one of the fastest backs in college football so much, god damn. most of his big runs come from the outside, especially against good defenses. you can't play alabama like you play kentucky. i like watching demps run but he's not going to get much done against any good defense running 1 yard dives on 2nd and 10.
fuck
The mother fucking dive play...god damnit now I'm raging so hard just thinking about how bad the play calling can be at times. Mullen has to be loving it.
Join UGA and the Mike Bobo school of Playcalling!
1st down: Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeep pass. Failed.
2nd down: Toss sweep to either side. +2 yards.
3rd and 8: Run it up the middle!
4th down: Punt
But theres some hope now at least. Richt isn't one to say anything directly, but almost always will hint at stuff with how he states things. He recently stated that Mike Bobo will still be playcalling for UGA, "for now.".
Just let Bobo get Murray to an A rank. Focus on playcalling, Richt. The bulldawg nation begs of you!
I would kill for a run/run/pass playcaller at Wisconsin right now.
Just like I'd kill for a legit RB that weighs more than 200lbs soaking wet. For all the awesome recruiting we've done, it really blows my mind that we cant get a real RB.
The more I think about how bad Addazio's play calling is the more I rage. That website really does a good job explaining it all. I'm spreading the fucking word to all my UF friends, that website will gain traction. Send him back to coaching the o-line and helping recruit, hes good at those two things...play calling though, gtfo.
