SLI question please help

Not really answering your question, but for that price, i'd think it would just be more cost efficient to buy a newer card.

I'm thinking maybe getting 2 9800Gts would be cheaper than getting a single 8800GT. I guess they stopped making them so they are a pain in the ass to get.

for the price of 2 9800's you can buy a hd5770 almost. far better solution.

Sorta off topic, but what's the diff between the SAPPHIRE 100283L and -3L?

afaik it's just a different cooler. They seem to have the same clocks (not sure what's better, but -3L looks like it puts heat back into PC whereas 100283L looks like it channels it out judging by newegg pics)

I have a 5770 in one of my computers, it runs 14 just fine. I put it into my kitchens computer since i had an old 8800 gt in it that was starting to die. When you play beta let me know if you get shearing on the grass graphics. I've tried everything to get rid of it, but my new g cards don't have the same issue. Been holding off on posting in the beta forum, but not sure what to write. I must say besides the CS and the shearing i still haven't noticed a difference besides the shading and the higher detail on characters in the game with the 5870 (second one is disabled during game play).

p.s. has anyone gotten SLI to work. It really bugs me that the game is not allowing SLIed cards to play the beta. Meh oh well, did not build the computer for games anyway was just hoeing I could use my full system on it.
