I wrote a custom website/database schema in PHP/SQL to keep track of points and history of expenses, with a pretty basic front end. Can throw together a generic version if anyone interested in it. PM me. (more info below & screenshots in spoiler tag)

Colenzo; points are added manually (though got something in the works to automate it based on /sea results), points can then be spent by "ranking" up on items which becomes increasingly more expensive (as indicated by the NEXT column in the screenshot below)

Also has an RSVP system for Dynamis & Einherjar; and a function to enable setup of parties and jobs before the event happens. People know what job to come on, and which party they are in.

Compared to guildwork, it's extremely primitive, it hasn't had much attention for the past year or so. I was always against DKP systems, too many flaws (not saying mine doesn't have flaws, but considerably less for the purpose of my shell), so decided to write my own.

Dazusu does your job assignment function fill in jobs automatically with the RSVP system? I was hoping on developing something like that but the real programmers never had enough free time

It doesn't automatically assign jobs, no. They are done by a leader.

However, it wouldn't be too hard to extend it it to include a scoring system based on peoples job strength, frequency played and have it auto assign people. In addition to that, dynamically changing jobs as more and more people confirm attendance for the event; while changing jobs to suit the approach from a different strategy, ie if only 14 people confirmed set people up for a low man attempt and as you reach 18, setup for a normal attempt.

You have my head spinning now. It's possible to do, but not sure if it's worth it, as only takes me 2-3 mins to do setup as it is.

The ideal point system would assign points based on the following information:
    1) Events attended.
    2) Duration of event attendance.
    3) Drops obtained.
    4) Usefulness/skill correction.
    5) Annoyance/Helpfulness penalty/reward.

Ideal system would have a bidding component that lets drop value be determined by the "free market" within linkshell. It would have a gil/points conversion ratio for situations when a linkshell member's competition is an out of shell buyer, or when the linkshell member wants the drop badly enough to toss some gil at it and boost their points.

Ideal system would also reset itself monthly in order to do payouts. Unspent points from the last cycle would be totaled and gil would be distributed according to a person's individual contribution.
But oh teh noez! Wat if sum 1 wants a d0rp reel bad?!
Well, look in the previous paragraph. All they need to do is convert their gil back into points and outbid everyone. The gil they spend gets redistributed at month's end, and they get a portion back. Thus, it makes sense for the gil/points ratio above to be the previous month's gil/points payout ratio.

    Simpler versions are:
    1) All bidding is done in gil.
    2) Divine Choice, gil-split evenly.
