    ATI 4870x2 Graphics Card Issue/Question

I'll try to keep this as unconfusing and informative as I can with what little I know.

I ran the FurMark benchmark program as it said my graphics cards (ATI HD Radeon 4870 x 2 (1 Gig total/crossfire x'd) should run at like a score of 12,000 but I'm only able to get like 3,500 score at most. I'm really unsure what I'm doing wrong.. and I need help.

This is all the information I could find on my system, maybe there is something I'm missing?

As for overclocking, if I turn anything up anymore on MSI Afterburner/ATI Catalyst Control Center I start getting those uh.. fuck, I forget the name but it's the small squares you don't want on the screen.

I do notice that from other peoples screenshots their games (like oblivion) cap out at 100+ FPS while I'm only hitting a constant 60. Is that maybe a part of my problem? Maybe my monitor? I have no clue why I cap at 60 on Dragon Age, Oblivion, Etc. because I have everything I can possibly set at max to max!

If any more info. is needed let me know.

Hmm, I have no clue. I googled what vsync even was and that maybe my issue.. I found a vertical refresh.. is that the same thing? If not then I have no clue where v sync is in my system.. can't find anything in my catalyst control center.

Edit: turned the v.refresh to "Always off" and it certainly raised the 60~ cap on my benchmark things even though FFXIV one still stayed around 50-60.. but oblivion still caps at 60. I know this shouldn't be the cap since I've seen screenshots of 100+ on it. Is there something else I'm missing or not turning on/off?

What is your CPU and what speed are you running it at?

Also, make sure when you benchmark that you are using the default settings. Don't benchmark in 1080P, 8xAA, etc.

You should be benchmarking at 1280x1024 and No MSAA.

Just typing what my info. thing says..

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz 2.67 GHz

That's all I know how to check. If you'd explain how to see what I'm actually running it at (if those numbers don't do it) let me know.

    Other info. includes uh..

    Windows Vista 64 Bit
    8 gigs of ram..

Also is it bad to mess with voltage? >_> I notice MSI Afterburner has voltage things.. but with LOTS of warnings.

EDIT: Also, fuck FurWhatever thing.. the reason I'm getting such low scores is because of my Catalyst driver. It looks like they implemented an anti-benchmark specifically for the FurMark program which halves my score. While it says I'm getting 4,500~ I'm actually getting 9,000~ I guess? Says I should be getting about 12K so I guess that's close. FF:XIV still ends its run on low at 2700~ but I'll blame it on not using crossfire.
