CD/DVD drive broken help!

ok well, I just installed Windows 7 and wanna install some old games I have and they are not working. When I go into computer, it says it is empty and when I click on it, it says please insert disc. I have tried DVDs and CDs. It keeps saying the drive is empty!

I had Vista and it worked fine then but it stopped with Windows 7 >_>

What do i do!?!

hit start button and type in device manager and click it when it pops up in the search

ok i got to the device manager and checked the cd/dvd device and the disk drive and both say they are working properly

eh, it can say that and shit can still be farked... but i'm not sure what's wrong with it still
I wanna say it's a driver problem, but i don't wanna have you trying to mess around with it and mess up your system.
