I had no idea what I was going for and was behind like 20 food 8 minutes into the game. Thankfully the other guy made one huge mistake that resulted in a hilarious end to game:

    Spoiler: show
The guy loses like 50 Hydra's in 5 seconds because he decided to do a doom drop in the worst possible spot
is a ragequit after a bad drop common for people these days? Not even trying to pull out a win? but yeah you got a great position there with him bottlenecking himself, if he had dropped into your base he could have totally walked over you. great game either way, glad to see you pulled it out

Man, that zerg should have won.. as the drop was coming I was thinking to myself, "why is this so bad? He's outnumbering you, this many hydras should wreck anything, even if they all can't attack in that position... and you just 1a'd your medivacs into oblivion- HOLY FUCK"

But if something goes horribly wrong like a drop like that, it's best to just leave and play another game. The chances of coming out after losing(what was that, like 80 food worth of hydra for like 4 medivacs?) that much are just too slim for it to eat away at your play time.

More games. More wins. MOAR SEXY PROFILE PICS.

I'm stuck between wanting terran or zerg 1v1 wins battlecruiser or queen of blades...

those two have to be the most epic looking; aside from the "win 1000 as each race" dark voice one just because of how hard it is to get

doesnt seem like there is much of a counter for a good psistorm player but pre-sniping them with air units that cloak seems to be the safest way to play it
As Terran of course there is. Ghosts shit all over Templar and any good Terran player will atleast use a few if they want to stop a Protoss player. I honestly think ghosts are the more underused and undervalued units in SC2 right now. They stop or cripple everything a Protoss player does if used right

Yeah terran really has no room to complain about TvP in the current build. Ghosts are just ridiculously strong against protoss, EMP is arguably better than storm in a lot of ways. For one, it generally prevents storm as it eats templar energy. Second, its so fast and so easy to cast, its almost impossible to prevent with feedback. Third, it works on every protoss unit and instantly does was basically amounts to about 100 damage on most units. Ghosts are crazy.

The thing is that it out ranges storm/feedback because it is AoE and you just aim in-front of the templar and you still zap his energy, that and 1 EMP can hit 10+ templar where you need to individually click each feedback which is nigh impossible with a moving bio ball and all the shit going on like vikings/medivacs flying overhead.

I fear the day I get to play a good terran who knows this information.

I love that Terran can just derp across the map while you (non-terran player) pull off every trick in the book just to keep in the game.

That's what piss me off about terran. I've to pull stunt out of my ass with templar and infestor, while the terran is waiting for his tank to auto-rape me the first time I do a mistake.

The only real disadvantage of terran is their mobility, but it's not particularly easy to take advantage of this on protoss or zerg.

What the hell is a Protoss counter to Terran? Every game I play now, it is a TvP and I always get ass raped from either a Bio-Ball early, or they wait for a couple siege tanks and once again, rape my face.

I'm always able to halt the initial push with Force Fields until I get my Colossus out. But then even if I can push their forces back and grab my expansion, my forces are so scarce that I will get countered with what ever tech he decides to switch into.

The only real way I ever win against Terran is if they try something different like reapers, or I get lucky w/ a proxy pilon in their base

The counter to Terran is to not let them enter bullshit overpowered mode. These days I've been doing the proxy Stargate build. Getting 2 void rays into their base early while pumping stalkers/zealots/sentries generally keeps them down long enough.

If you let Terran get to the late game, it's over. The two bioball tank fest counters (Collossus and Templar) both fall to very inexpensive and quick to build counters.

But that's exactly how it was in SC1 as well. Zerg relied on Muta harass and Lurker contain until they could get Defilers and Ultra's, Toss relied on Zealot bombs and reaver drops to delay the Terran push to get Carriers or Arbiters in most cases. You could never attack a T unless they were on the move. It's like SC2 came out and everyone forgot all that. TLO is the best example of how you should play against T as Z. His infestor play in outstanding. PvT I don't understand what all the bitching about is at all, as someone who plays mostly P with a little bit of T on the side I find that match up slightly toss favored.

Me and a buddy doing some testing. I am zerg he is terran, We are trying to figure out different builds to beat thors. Needless to say nothing worked, but its worth a watch if you can think of anything else.
No hydras do not work at all, Thors that are 3-0 1 shot them.

Queens in starcraft were destroying tanks in no time. They were a lot easier to use than infestor. You also had guardian and defiler. Guardian were accessible more easily too imo.

Protoss was harder, but it feel like I had a lot more way to harass and make the terran turtle. Shuttle reaver for one was awesome against marine. There was no fucking marauder that screw up everything!

Shouldn't do your x=y based on supply.
    30 roaches vs 10 thor = 2250 minerals and 750 gas vs 3000 minerals and 2000 gas.
Thors are "higher tech" units, they give you more bang for your buck(supply).

Zerglings are probably the best bet as zerg against thors early, and obviously ultras destroy them. But a caveat: when doing MASS ranged attackers vs MASS melees the melees are at a HUGE disadvantage because they can't all attack while all the thors can; you had roaches blocking some of the ultras' paths for a bit, too. And in a real game something like will never happen.

You were also only on 2 attack while he was 3-3 in that big battle.

Sorry, but I don't think thors are OP from just watching that replay everything was sort of skewed in their favor.

Additionally, it's pretty ridiculous to try to find the strongest maxed army and call that race imba, because there is a reason they are stronger. Zerg can reproduce much faster and change tech at the drop of a dime. Protoss can have instant reinforcement or harassing units and have incredible reproducing time as well. Terran's army should be stronger in the very end game, because a zerg or protoss often has the potential to send 2 maxed out armies at it before the terran can even replace his losses (this is particularly true for zerg).

That said, I still have problems with terran like anyone else. As a protoss it's not too bad, I think I'd be more annoyed by them if I were a zerg as that match up just looks painful to play.

I think that if everything remains the same and Zerg whining doesn't lead to Terran getting hit a the nerf bat we will see the ZvT progress a lot like ZvP did in BW. For years ZvP was considered Zerg favored until Bisu came along and totally changed the way the match up was viewed and suddenly it was P favored. Now the matchup has gone through several more swings and is back at being considered Zerg favored. There are so many things that are being underused right now in the game for all three races that it's really hard to truly determine balance at this point.

Part of the problem is so many Zerg players are just following IdrA's lead and thinking ZvT is so imbalanced that it's not worth playing, but IdrA despite all his whining is still winning and trying to find new strategies against T. He did the same thing in Broodwar, constantly bitching about Darkswarm and DT's.
