Expand into Zilart areas like Zi'tah.
If we get to Magian Salvage gear I hope that you dont have to wear the piece to complete the trials since most of the time people is changing jobs to suit runs need, would be hell to try to go as the job you want to enhance your armor :/
Maybe some kind of new magian-only drops in Salvage/Bosses nms would do fine and would be quite more useful than doing lately soooo many runs without getting anything, Salvage runs would be quite more productive also.
Being that there is no Zilart presence in Abyssea (at least the Gate of the Gods looks like it was never created or powered), I would be interested in what Forest of Zitah, Qufim Island, Beaucidine Glacier, Lufaise Meadows and Misearux Coast would look like.
I think the lack of Crags in Abyssea is the most intriguing part of all.
The zone debug data has dummy zone numbers up through 10 areas, so I'm pretty sure we will see a few more each addon. Not like the zone really matters since its the same remix of shit we've already seen for years.
Unlikely that it'd be zones they've already "duplicated", like Dynamis or Shadowreign zones... Abyssea website says it requires RoZ and WotG - my betting is on RoZ areas. Assuming they follow the same pattern of being near a teleport crystal and a zone away from a town area, my guess is two of the new areas will be Abyssea - Yhoator and Abyssea - East Altepa.
That could also mean that Xarcabard could be reused (again, there's already three versions of it!) as an available zone, so take this idea with a grain of salt.
Personally, I'd love to see Zi'Tah as an Abyssea zone. It'd also be pretty cool if there were Abyssea versions of Grauberg, Vunkerl Inlet and Karugo-Narugo, seeing how the expansion also seems to require WotG.
Something like Evoliths Part II (relevant augments) would be nice...

Grauberg, Fort Karugo-Narugo and Vunkerl Inlet are all pretty good candidates imo.
Anyway it's clear that Abyssea zones were made for NMs+ exp and they did say that all three were battle add-ons. The storyline is still there anyway.
I'm hoping they either remove cap on merits or let us use merits without going to a moogle all the time on any 75+ job we have. Having to exit and run to town all the time is annoying in so many ways, especially if you have a lot of time left.
Abyssea is easily the best thing this game got in a very long time. No pink birds in the new areas hopefully... at least make them purple or something.

Im almost positive it will be the starter zones, e.saruta w.ronfaure. south gustaberg, and I really believe the last abyssea expansion will include new zones and probably a reskin of WoE.

Starter zones all have maws, unless we go with the other part that is not in the past but that would be stretching it quite a bit...
Anyway regarding new monster types they really haven't used most of them.
Cerberus, Khimaira, Hydra, Vampyr, Dveggr, etc. are all possible candidates especially if we consider that Blue Mages are gonna get HNM spells in the future and some were already added.
They can always come up with new ones and let's not forget all the other sea mobs they can recycle.
My guess is it will be Teleport-zones. So either, Altep, Xarca, and Yhot
