I don't think anyone has argued they don't have the right to build a mosque there. They clearly do. I think the argument has been that this is either being done under false pretenses and wrong, or it is just so insensitive as to be offensive and thus it is "wrong."

I just think that's more evidence that this is not outreach, not any sort of moral equivalency argument.

Condemning 9/11 because you're muslim is basically a tacit acknowledgment that "those are my guys" - the whole point here is that fringe radical extremist muslims are not a part of the mainstream muslim faith which this mosque and community center represent.
